Lechonera Latina — Restaurant in Florida

When they first opened this place I raved about it to all my friends. I was even raving about it as recent as the day before. Things just kept getting worse and I kept justifying it. First off their is limited seating more so because of social distancing not really their fault. Next is portions. They used to have decent portions and while they charged $1 more than key food I put up with it because they were new. Next is wait staff. I have not really had a bad experience except that everyone is bumping into each other trying to fill people's orders and no one is filling the empty pans. Slowly the portions started getting smaller and smaller. I was okay maybe they are adjusting since they are new. The food in pans were dried out and cold. Today go in and was told from now on it's $2 more than Key Food. I'll leave my review of Key Food somewhat seperately but want everyone to know there are other options close and cheaper. So now for $9 you get a rice a meat and either ripe plantains or yuca. The last side (plantains or yuca) you might get 3 or 4 small pieces. Quality, and Portions have gone down while prices went up. Someone mentioned music being loud in going there frequently I have never noticed it being loud. Someone else mentioned manager being rude. I did not even know there was a manager. That place is so disorganized I thought the employees were just thrown out there on their own. I hope the owner sees this while if the owner is the manager that was supposedly rude well guess there is just no hope. Shame because it started out good even with the higher pricing. Now with smaller portions and even higher...

I normally eat here several times a month and the food is good besides the baked chicken being too salty I like the food. However; I ordered chicken and broccoli yesterday and found a worm in my broccoli while eating and it’s disgusting and unsanitary. I no longer want to eat here again because people are not cleaning and handling their food properly while serving the public and it’s unsafe. I was very disappointed and went back to show the staff. They showed no remorse never apologizes to me or anything so I just asked for my money back and gave them the food back. I was traumatized at that point. Me and my family will never eat here again. Please start washing your vegetables when you are serving the public. The broccoli was also over cooked and too soft. I was very disappointed after eating here for so long. These restaurants need to take more pride in their food and handle food properly before they get a LAWSUIT. I’m over the nasty fast food workers. They showed no remorse did not apologize to me or anything just gave me my money back. This is unacceptable and not good customer service. I was sick to my stomach. Owners need to start hiring people who actually care about their customers and practice safe food...

its been a hit or miss whenever we went there. I love the chinese rice, but sometimes its greasy. The pernil sometimes is dry like a bone, and sometimes moist. The monfongo is wonderful, you might get a monfongo that is sweet sometimes, this has happened to me twice. There is one girl server who is in another world. She asks you what do you want, but stares into the distance. really not listening to you. Some of them are rude, with no patience. I believe when your dealing with people you should have good customer service. The mashed potatoes are really good! The macaroni salad is watered down it has mayo but they add water, which dilutes the flavor. I will not buy that again. The beans are very good. The ribs look good , but that will be my next dish to try. I gave it three stars because it is a hit or miss with this restaurant.
