Of all of the McDonalds that I’ve been to this year, this may have been the cleanest. The atmosphere was great! Some light Christmas decor and loud music in the main dining space, was pleasant. The area was clean and spread out and comfortable. Even their drink area was clean. And they repeatedly cleaned the area while I was there. The staff also acted and worked professionally.
One negative on the atmosphere the drive through window to give food to the vehicles was in the dining room by one of the entrances, right behind/next to a table for customers to eat at. This puts drivers right outside the window staring inside and puts staff constantly in your space with other people’s orders.
Big negative for me is, at least when I went, they refused to take your order at the normal cashier area and forced people to order via the app or kiosk. My order cannot be taken that way as they don’t have as many options on the kiosk and app as they have on their POS. So after an argument that left me wanting to leave, I had to use the kiosk and then force them to re-fire my food the way I wanted it, which would have been avoided if they simply spent less time to take my order than they did arguing with me and then learning that I was right when the options weren’t available. Their reasoning was that “it’s against policy to take orders.” Rubbish, just less employees to have to pay for. While the staff held their heads together and did eventually get my order right (which is why it’s not a 1 star), I cannot give any McDonalds anything higher than a 2 star when they flat out refuse to take your order.
With that said, the food, after re-fire was good (average). They just lost unnecessary revenue having to toss out an entire order and the time/effort on...
Read moreDisappointing Late-Night Experience at Champions Gate on May 26 at 2:15 am. My recent visit to this McDonald’s location in Champions Gate after 2 AM was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Upon arriving, there was a line, and we waited patiently for 15 minutes to order. When it was finally our turn, we clearly requested two McFlurries. Instead of addressing our order, the employee abruptly told us they were “too busy” and asked us to wait longer, despite only two staff members working.
We agreed, assuming they’d prioritize our request. After waiting another 15 minutes, we politely tried to follow up as the line dwindled, only to be met with a dismissive and loud response from a staff member, insisting we wait again. Moments later, the same employee finally asked for our order—but when we repeated our desire for McFlurries, he coldly informed us they “don’t serve ice cream after 2 AM.
This was baffling and inexcusable. We specified our order twice upfront and were never warned about the time restriction, even as we waited unnecessarily. The staff’s lack of communication and courtesy wasted our time and left us feeling disrespected.
Train your team to communicate clearly with customers, especially regarding menu limitations. Hiring staff who prioritize transparency and professionalism would greatly improve this location’s service.
Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend this McDonald’s. Late-night customers deserve better than dismissive attitudes and...
Read moreOne SLOW guy taking orders on one lane . Never closed the second lane. We were there for 10 mins waiting for him to take our order. Mind you I am 8 months pregnant with two hungry toddlers in the car and it’s raining. So I pull back and I go to the first lane and they took forever to take my order . So I decided to just pull forward. We get to the window and the guy tells me to wait and now he is taking an order on the headset. So I wait , I waited a little to long at this time my girls are already crying . So I decide to ask for the manager , she comes ( her name is KAREN and she’s “the manager”) and I tell her very nicely what had happened “ she says “sorry I don’t know what happened but you are going to have to go back around to place your order” I was like woah I’m sorry I’ve worked in McDonald’s before you don’t argue with a customer and you take there order and apologize for whatever happened . She could have just said I’ll take your order here. She said sorry the GMC won’t let me do it. No wonder her name is karen. She wanted to argue and I was still very calm. I told her I’m not going to go around please take my order here . She said no sorry I can’t do nothing. My girls are already crying and fussy. I asked her again “your the manager” and she said yes I am . And I said your name is Karen? And she smiled and said yes. I said okay I’ll make sure I leave a review and We pulled off . Karen needs to be let go. She does not know her role as a manager. Her customer service was...
