As always, this is a service dog handler review. So woof. I've been frequenting this Starbucks at least once a week for a couple years now as it's right across from my mailbox and I'm a caffiene-fiend. They've always been great via the drive through and even employed the vid com for me when I was having a nonverbal day and we got the order put together - it was a welcome surprise and made me feel a lot less weird for being me. And they always take the time to make sure their on-hand puppuccino dog treats are peanut-free for me before adding them to the dogs' cups. During their busy hours the drive through line can get long and slow but if it gets to be really bad, they surprise you with a discount off your purchase. I finally went inside with my service dog week before last and it went pretty great. Not the crew I'd become accustomed to since we came in on a different day than we usually stopped by but nobody went dog-crazy on us (no "doggy!") from customer or staff, so always a plus for me. Nobody even addressed my dog which was fantastic, I always seem to get at least one employee who does, but I didn't here so I'm like ready to propose to this Starbucks. I was even expecting the music to be way too loud to hear like in other Starbucks I frequent but it wasn't, I could actually hear the baristas the first time they said something. It was a bit too dim of lighting for me but that's me, I like bright lights when there are other people around. I don't recommend taking a wheelchair of any considerable size or any other mobility device inside without being ready to do battle with furniture as the tables and chairs are rather close together and my large bodied service dog and my not-a-small body did not navigate the sitting area well at all. But we weren't staying so it wasn't a thing for us to worry about this time, just as a note for y'all. Orderwise, as always, the staff is great with my weird allergies and my weird order (okay, it COULD be weirder but I'd mess up ordering it if it were) and I don't think they've ever messed it up in the 3 years I've been coming here. Even when I switch things up on them. Overall, I love this Starbucks because it's very welcoming and great with my level of weird and wish it were closer to my place because I'd totally come over for a few drinks during the week just for the no-pressure...
Read moreSLOW SERVICE DISASTER! I am trying to be fair and objective however the one thing that I cannot stand is when the core concept of a business goes wrong. Starbucks is fast-food-coffee. The idea is to get in and get out. I was there on March 16, 2018 at 8:30 AM and it was a disaster.
First let me preface by saying that there were only 3 customers in front of me and we all had the same experience = SLOW AND FRUSTRATING.
I ordered a drink and a bagel. I waited 23 minutes for my drink to be prepared. My bagel came in under 30 seconds and I am the type that will refuse to touch my food until the full order is completed. 23 minutes later the toasted bagel had gone cold and I had to ask for a replacement. The bagel lady was nice but she gave me that look of equal frustration. Why does my 4th-in-line drink take 23 minutes to prepare? You might think the lady doing the drinks was backed up. She was, however in her defense she was all alone working the lobby. Meanwhile 3 people plus the manager were working the drive through (plus one lady doing pastries). The woman working the lobby was trying her best to keep up but the drive through people kept interrupting her, leaning over her shoulder to grab a straw etc. I do not blame her for taking so long, I blame the lack of organization skills by the manager.
DRIVE THROUGH SHOULD ALWAYS COME 2ND TO THE LOBBY. Bottom line is that I had a bad experience because the manager failed to keep the team working together. It was 1 person = lobby, EVERYONE else working the drive through and that IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I waited 23 minutes for service with only 3 other customers in front of me. I might wait 23 minutes at the Disney theme parks but at least they understand the CORE concept of get em in / get em out.
Finally, the manager eventually came out to try and move things along and she looked like an ex-convict. Had terrible tattoos all over her arms and dressed like a...
Read moreI'm a regular customer and I really love the store and customer service, but lately the drink quality has changed. And I’m the type to say something to my more familiar barista, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Looking at the other reviews, it seems this ebbs and flows for you. Matching my experience with this store location. And the inconsistent drink quality this time has been going on for over a month. Too long for it to be an individual employee issue.
You guys aren’t listening to your customers, let alone your regulars you identify by name. These issues are reoccurring over several of our visits. The issues are:
-- weaker espresso shots -- not filling my size cup to the top (short changing the drinks ) -- an increase indifference overall
With the prices increasing, it even more offensive the drink quality isnt matching marketing and past promises. Fill the cups we order. Dont short change our milk. Dont give us dirty espresso shots. Dont use poor quality ice that quickly dilutes our drinks.
Our Starbucks visit is our way to decompress after work and reconnect. It's a ritual for us. And sadly - due to the disregard I'm feeling from the employees - I'll be taking a break from Starbucks for awhile....
