We stayed at 8193 Valhalla Terrace in February for 8 days. We booked the house because it was big enough to house 2 families and it had a large theater room in which we planned nightly movie nights with the kids. Upon arrival, we had no hot water and we could not only get the theater room TV to work, we also could not get the family room TV to work either. There were no TV instructions, just multiple remotes. We were pretty upset about the hot water since a day of travel, a warm shower is definitely needed. When I called the office, it was after 5 pm and the message said they would return my call. Nobody called the next day, being Sunday, so I called again. They sent someone out for the hot water Sunday afternoon and that was fixed. They also sent someone out to fix the TV's. They were able to get the family room TV working, but not the theater room. The woman said the person that usually does this was off for a couple of days. I told her how we booked the house because of the theater room and really hoped to get it working. Credit to her, she was there for at least an hour and made calls, but could not get it to work. She said she would reach out to the person who usually takes care of it and try again Monday. They didn't get it to work until Wednesday. On Wednesday, the freezer went out. I called again and they sent someone out and he lowered the temp on the freezer. I said it was working fine in the days prior and lowering the temperature would be unlikely to work. He said call back if it does not. I told him we are having guests on Thursday evening for dinner and needed a freezer for ice, food, etc. As expected, the freezer did not work after he left. I called again on Thursday after all of the food had to be thrown away and they said they would take care of it. They brought us a portable freezer around 5 pm Thursday evening. No ice for drinks. On our last day, we woke up early to make our way back home and again the hot water was not working. So gross to have another full day of travel and nobody can shower. I reached out to Florida Premier to ask for a partial refund for all of the inconveniences we experienced and they refused. Their response below. I will NEVER rent from these guys again and I strongly warn anyone as well. They are non responsive and we paid over $7000 for the week on a house with multiple problems.

We stayed at a property near Disney World. The place itself was adequate. However the location was misleading. I booked this rental many months ago through VRBO and did not realize that since then, there were other reviews posted with the same complaints. The listing states it is within walking distance of some of the Disney World parks. This is untrue. Instead of walking distance, in actuality it is a 20 minute drive from those same parks.
After a week of attempts and with assistance from VRBO, I was able to contact Yvonne at Florida Premier Rentals. With other reviews that mention this same problem on VRBO, I have trouble believing that she was truly unaware of the situation with their misleading listing. However, I was told that the wrong location was a “genuine oversight”. I told them explicitly how I would like the issue resolved, including a monetary compensation amount that I believed to be fair and reasonable given the situation. I was given a discount offer but it was not nearly sufficient to offset the extra costs we incurred in transportation as well as the premium we paid for a falsely advertised rental location. If I had known it was much farther away, there were much more affordable options available that I would have considered.
I did not accept their offer, and countered with my original request, but since then I have not heard from Yvonne, nor have I been able to contact her. I spoke with someone else at Florida Premier Rental who stated that they could not help me. When I asked this person for direct contact info to their resolutions department so I could speak with them myself, she said she was told not to give out their info. Instead, she assured me that she was messaging Yvonne right then to make sure she calls me the following morning. I did not hear from her and when I called, no one picked up the phone.
Poor communication. Lack of follow through. Yvonne assured me that she wanted to make things right, but thus far has not. Their listing of this property on VRBO has apparently been taken down, but their oversight cost customers money. Read moreI use Home Away about two times a year and have never encountered such a disgusting experience before. First I booked the property and all was well, then the owner contacts me that they forgot to add a fee and i’d have to pay the fee or cancel the reservation. I decided to cancel the reservation so I cound check on other properties. Then the next day I rebooked because it was still the least expensive place for the ammenities that it offered. All seemed well until I arrived in florida and DROVE TO THE INCORRECT ADDRESS THAT WAS PROVIDED FOR ME. I ended up at a random location where a hotel was. I tried to call the office number so many times I lost count. They have an emergency number, but no one answered that one either. After spending three hours in my car calling with no success, I decided to just book a room at another hotel for the night. In the morning the office called me and apologized for the incorrect address and said that they forgot to send me the introduction email that had the correct address and checkin information. They were nice enough to refund my hotel stay. All again seemed well for the moment. The actual place was nice, but ill never get this experience out of my head. Once we checked out and arrived home I noticed that they had never given me back my refund for my first booking. I called them and they said no problem we will go ahead and correct the mistake. So I waited again for them to refund me my money. They never did so then I filed a dispute with my credit card. They called me after the dispute to ask me what the problem was. I told them again that they had not refunded my initial booking and they said yes we see that and we will go ahead and correct it. Although what they actually did was pull a documentation switch and show the documentation of my second booking and stay to my credit card company proving that I had stayed there.
