Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Florida

Literally the worst Steak and Shake location I’ve ever been to. Nobody was at the register for like 15 mins and when ordered he got it wrong multiple times. The guy at the register was definitely on something he fell asleep on the register and had to be woken up multiple times. There were multiple mangers there who were in the back sitting down laughing on their phones. About 10 people were standing at the desk waiting for their orders most of them were forgotten about and orders had to be repeatedly screamed at them for them to make them and remember them. We all got our orders thrown on the table in front of us and nobody ever started making the shakes despite their being like 8 workers. The guy at the register had to make them and was droping all the supplies and was drifting off the sleep while making them. He was going out of order only taking peoples orders who pushed to the front of the line and screamed what they needed. Also the cups were not filled halfway. Everyone’s shakes were brought back because they were made wrong and had no whip cream or cherry entirely. I had asked for an extra cup and he laughed in my face and told me they don’t do that. Not my usual experience with Shake Shack.

The whole process from ordering to eating was pretty below-avarage.

Ordering: Limited menu choices. Kiosk offered options that they did not sell, promting an entire re-do of my order at the desk. They directed me to another kiosk that had a broken touch screen. Luckily my third attempt went fine.

I ordered a basic double cheeseburger with extra pickles for $1.79 additional. I ordered a milkshake with no cherry.

Service: Slow, despite not being very crowded? The workers seemed friendly to each other but must be used to bad customers because they treated me a bit poor. Minimal eye contact, no smile, and basically acting like I wasn't worthy of their time.

Food: Straight up the biggest disappointment here. Fries were undersalted and blonde (minimally cooked but still edible?). Ketchup packets were out. My burger came with two pickles despite paying nearly $2 for extra. I am a man who likes onions, but I think they just chopped a white onion in half and added it to the burger. Quite awful. Burger was somehow oversalted so maybe they took the salt from the fries and added it to the burger?

Atmosphere: Fine. No problems here. I guess the leaking roof and mildew-laden bucket was a turn-off but otherwise...

My 1st time ever eating at Steak N Shake. Unfortunately not a good one. Maybe you shouldn't expect the best food from an airport but over my years I've had some pretty good meals but not this time. The double bacon burger was small and greasy. The fries were extremely cold and didn't say anything because I didn't want to get kicked out the airport. When I walked up a customer were complaining about her fries being cold and the manager told her it wasn't his problem because they had called for her once before and she said she was their. My name is Jonathan and the worker mispronounced my name and when I stated my name she mispronounced it again and gave me a bag. SMH... I was given one shake after I gave the shake girl my name because I was told nothing after getting my food. The shake girl preceeded to look at her monitor and make a Strawberry shake then I told her I ordered 2 oreo shakes. She made it and I sat down with my wife to discover extremely cold fries and no extra cheese cup that I paid for. SMH.... 1st and last time at a Steak N Shake.
