Summary- funky smelling burrito may have given me a cold sore.
Lunchtime, I'm starving. I didn't eat breakfast that morning and I wanted something quick and satisfying. I had been to this location a few times before and it was pretty good. Staff was polite and the food came out fine. Today seemed no different.
The drive thru had a few cars in it and I had just made it before the line wrapped around the building. I ordered 3 crunchy tacos, a beefy 5layer w/o sour cream, and a chicken quesadilla. The lady at the register was nice and polite. The food seemed find, I got what I ordered.
So I drove back to work and began to eat this food that I was starving to finish. The tacos were good, warm and crunchy. The burrito seemed a little off. A few bites in I noticed it wasn't sitting too well in my stomach. I took another bite and that's when I thought I smelled something weird. I pulled back and investigated. I didn't see anything, but then I smelled it. NEVER HAVE I EVER HAD THAT SMELL COME UP IN ANY FOOD IN MY LIFE!
Think about a hot summer day and you are outside for a little while. You reach back to your rear. Then pull your hand up to your nose. What's that smell? NOT BURRITO.
Now I didn't finish the rest of the food that day. This morning, I noticed that I have the beginnings of a cold sore on my mouth now. Coincidence? Maybe I'm just overreacting and drawing conclusions to unrelated things. Maybe I'm totally wrong and taco meat with seasoning and beans in a tortilla has a way of producing that smell naturally. Or maybe, there is a worker that is reading this and laughing hysterically because they've been doing things like that at their job for awhile.
You draw your own conclusions reader. I will not tempt fate at this location again. If you do, please examine and SMELL your food before you eat it. I used to love taco bell, but now I'll never look at a burrito the same...

I only gave it a 4 because as we went in there was a man walking slowly down the parking lot road while someone drove behind him honking angrily. Also when I walked in the front door there were chips all over the floor. Also, no one was taking my order so I asked if I have to use the kiosk, but a girl said she would take our order but when we were halfway done she quickly walked off. After about 3 minutes I asked if she was coming back and someone ran back to find her but then someone else from the back came up and said no one could take my order and asked me to use the kiosk. Halfway through ordering at the kiosk the first person came back and said they could take my order now. I decided to just finish at the kiosk. When we were finishing they told us that the soda dispenser wasn't working but they could give is freezes instead but it was cold outside so we just drank water. Food came out quickly, even before we finished ordering at the kiosk but no one told us it was ours so we waited about an extra 5 minutes longer than needed. Most of the tables were still dirty, but our 3rd try was clean. After biting into the best chalupa ever I went up to get a fork and they gave me a butter knife so I handed it back and told him it wasn't a fork. When he went to get a fork I said, "You had one job." And the guy laughed heartily. While we were eating the lights went out in the dining room for about 10 seconds. I knocked one off for that stuff.
TLDR: Place had more crash and burn explosions than a Michael Bay movie but ultimately the people were very friendly and the food was fast and maybe the best tasting Taco Bell I've ever had. (I had the two chicken chalupa meal with a soft taco instead of hard.) I put a lot of stock...
ย ย ย Read moreThe people staffing this location can never get anything right. If you order more than one simple combo from the menu they just can not get it right. Even then that is now changing and they can not even get that right. Tonight I ordered two twelve count soft taco boxes and one Mexican pizza. They got the pizza right but 24 incorrect tacos. How can you mess that simple order up. You place your order, they read it back to you, when you get to the window they ask if this was the order you got and are paying for to verify and yet still can not get it right. We all know what that problem is and the solution. The problem, a staff of people who just don't care and are only doing their eight hours a day to get a paycheck. But not a care at all for the job they do. The solution, fire those who keep messing up if they just can't get their stuff together and hire others who will. I don't care if your just a taco cook, be the best dang taco cook you can be. I don't care if you are a lobby cleaner, be the best you can be. We as a people have lost the in ourselves and we are too afraid to point that out to others and hold them accountable for their actions for man many reasons.
Bottom line is that is dose not matter your gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, age, etc. you just need to hold yourself and others accountable for what they do and don't do.
I know I am mad at this moment, who would not be after throwing away $35 on dinner for folks and not even getting a response from the location. And I dare not go back and voice my issue because again in today's age, and they attitudes of the employees I have seen there, I can only imagine where...
