I have been to the Brent location and here but I frequent this spot due to proximity and mostly order from their drive-thru. This location is smaller and a bit more quaint, but you could still work here if you needed! If I had to choose between the two for a study/work spot, I’d go for the Brent location. Regardless, I’m always met with an employee that is kind and genuinely friendly!
My go-to drink is a 16oz Vanilla Poetchino with an extra shot of espresso. (Sometimes I get whip, sometimes I don’t. Depends on the mood) It’s blended to the CREAMIEST perfection - not too thick or too thin/icy. It’s sweet without sacrificing that delicious coffee flavor! I lose my mind in the car every time I take my first sip because it’s so consistently good.
I also highly recommend: -16oz Caramel Poetchino w/extra espresso shot (Tad sweeter than the Vanilla, but nothing too overpowering! The coffee flavor is so yummy with the caramel.) -Their blueberry muffins (Full of that classic Blueberry muffin flavor, moist, not too crumbly and not overly sweet like you find in a lot of pre-packaged muffins. Love their recipe) -Their breakfast burritos (So flavorful, full of protein and cheesy. Also tasty with the Texas Pete hot sauce they give you)
The Drowsy Poet will always have my business! A must...
Read moreEdit: it's no longer a lively place. Just moved back to Pensacola after a year away and went in twice this week. Elevator music makes me want to ask for a bleach mocha latte. The employees barely acknowledged each other, like nobody wanted to be awake, let alone there. The personality in the place is gone. It's like getting coffee in a library with no books set up in a surgical room with no equipment. It's just a bland place I've only been frequenting this shop since the 1st of February 2022. I had been going to Drowsy Poet - Brent Lane for years, so the bar was set high. They have met the bar. The cinnamon mocha latte is perfect every time. Emma made a go at trying to remember my name, not John, but the effort was there. She has since learned it, and having an employee put in that little bit extra effort makes a huge difference. I was just in there 30 seconds ago, and already forgot the guy's name, but he is super friendly and his drinks are always great. I promise to learn everyone's name eventually. The music isn't bad, but needs more Pentatonix

Read moreGreat little atmosphere. Plenty of laptop plugs. Good seating arrangement. Good prices. Really friendly staff. The breakfast items are really good. I've had a few muffins and they are always on point. The espresso isn't my favorite but it's good. It's a milder version of a deep espresso making it really easy to sip especially with a teaspoon of sugar. Bathroom has been clean the last few times and the sugar station stays clean. The only real complaint I have is the mildly annoying drive-thru speaker system blasting inside the entire establishment. I'd probably give it 5 stars if it were more of a relaxing atmosphere. A set of noise-canceling headphones and the endless parade of impatient drivers melt into the background. Good place for a little bit of office work, I'd probably be annoyed trying to study in-depth, cranium boosting materials. Thanks staff for a pleasant...
