Ted’s specializes in locally sourced foods (love!) and buffalo meat, a healthy, super-yummy, but slightly more expensive alternative to beef. We walked through the cozy, bustling dining room with multiple individual booths to the outside patio, complete with a full bar, lovely bartender, and several wrought-iron tables and chairs. The heaters were off as it was a nice evening, but I definitely needed a sweater as there was a breeze coming from the water just a few yards beyond the patio.
Our bartender, Lainya, was bubbly, knowledgeable, and prompt, despite having her hands full with a busy outdoor section all to herself. I ordered my usual, Tito’s martini, up, slightly dry, slightly dirty with blue cheese olives ($9.5) and Mom ordered a glass of Gascon Malbec ($12 for a 9oz. pour), which came relatively quickly. Unfortunately, even Lainya’s adorable personality couldn’t conceal the fact that my over-Vermouth-ed martini was borderline un-drinkable. To her credit, she did make it perfectly slightly dirty. Anything over slightly dirty and it is, well, a glass of very expensive olive juice. On the positive, Mom loved her wine and I noshed on my exquisite, hand-stuffed blue cheese olives, not so silently noting to myself to never order one here, ever again. Moving on.
For our meal, we ordered the Bison Skinny Dip Burger topped with avocado, and a side Kale Salad ($16 each), mine medium rare with roasted asparagus and Mom’s rare with buttered carrots. (Carrots? Mom, what are you, six??) Over drinks, we snacked on a very interesting alternative to bread: a dish of what looked like cut pickles, but as Lainya explained, they’re only brined for two weeks (to retain crispness) and seasoned with a myriad of spices, including coriander. I have no idea what coriander is but they were AMAZE! I love cucumbers and try to avoid bread – Mom’s actually allergic to gluten – so it was a big fat Win for us.
When our meals came a short while later, I didn’t expect much as far as presentation goes for a bunless burger and a bunch of kale, but I was wrong. An appetizing variety of colors and textures was placed before me and I dove into my salad first, which was seriously on point: Tender, chopped kale, roasted white corn and red bell pepper tossed in a really light, flavorful, acidic vinaigrette. Surprisingly good. Then the burger, holy goodness. I am usually the condiment queen when it comes to burgers and I ate that beautiful bunless bison with just a touch of fresh ground pepper. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned – it was to die. And let me not leave out my asparagus! Again, perfectly cooked, and seasoned as if they were grilled next to a big fat juicy steak or something. I was really impressed with my entire meal.
I sipped a glass of Meomi Pinot Noir with dinner ($13 for a 6oz pour) and handed Mom my keys (that glass of Vermouth really went to my head). We cleaned (damn near licked) our plates and I’m telling you, I NEVER finish a meal when I’m out to eat. And my mom, forget it! She eats like a freaking bird! Yes, the shopping took a lot out of us (sigh), but the food was just that good. Good thing we walked.
Bottom line: Move over, beef. Bison is...

The menu is a celebration of high-quality, flavorful dishes, with something for everyone to enjoy. Their bison options are absolutely outstanding—tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Bison Delmonico steak and their classic burgers, which are packed with flavor and worth every bite. For sides, the onion rings and garlic mashed potatoes were an absolute hit at our table.

Read moreI visited 3 different times before deciding to review this restaurant. I’ve tried their bison burger, their beef burger, and this time I decided to go with their chicken. Although they serve generous portions, the food is underwhelming, dry and tasteless. The chicken breasts were sliced thin, and overcooked. Completely dried out. The broccoli was huge, but also tasteless and almost completely lacking the Parmesan it was named for. The only thing I really enjoyed was the mashed potatoes and the pre-meal pickles. I would have loved some kind of bread to accompany our long wait for food.
We are usually seated right away, but today we stood waiting get a table for almost a full 20 minutes. It did not appear the restaurant was too full. Some people came in, and left seeing that we had not been seated. I even saw them refuse to seat a couple at their outdoor dining area, but told them they’d have to sit at the bar instead. I was surprised they stayed.
The service was extremely slow, but understandable since they appeared to only have 2 servers working - crazy for a Sunday lunch time. Out server was very friendly, just seemingly overwhelmed. We waited an endless amount of time for requested condiments and water refills.
I try to give most places the benefit of the doubt, but I’ve never really had what I’d consider a “good” meal here. For $30 per person, they are lots of other choices, with food that’s not overcooked and...
