Ticket Sports Bar 1 — Restaurant in Florida

I had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience at Ticket Sports Bar. I presented my valid Mexico passport as identification, which is legally accepted under Florida law and federal guidelines for verifying age. Despite this, the bartender refused to honor it and asked us to leave, even though we were calm, respectful, and clearly over 21.

This felt like discrimination based on nationality and may be a civil rights violation. Denying service to someone based on their country of origin or rejecting legal ID without cause is not only wrong, it’s illegal. We were not intoxicated or causing any issues, only trying to enjoy our evening.

We are reporting this incident to the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. No person should be treated unfairly or feel unwelcome in public places for simply presenting a foreign passport.

I urge Ticket Sports Bar to train your staff properly, follow state laws regarding acceptable IDs, and treat all guests, regardless of background, with fairness...

I wasn't impressed Young men pushed us off of a our table of pool and one was damaging the pool table that we were at and also we lost several drinks due to the table been wobbly, it said sports bar and grill but no waitresses are bartenders came around to take our order for food they didn't even come around to take our order for drinks so no I will not be coming back it was a waste of money and I'll find that your shots of fireball $5 a shot yeah that's a little bit unreasonable it also stated that night that there was supposed to be a live band that live band never showed up I being in my 50's who happens to enjoy live bands and when I ask for a White Russian drink I expect a White Russian drink but they didn't have the ingredients to make it I think the only thing the bartender could make was a beer yeah waste money waste waste...

Hi Ticket Sports Bar,

I had a great time with my husband and friends! The staff are busy helping local customers instead of new customers at the beginning but then helped us. I believe they were short staffed, so it was understandable.

I found some of the locals to be kind of rude to us at the beginning claiming their spot in the bar inside. They wanted us to give them room when there wasn’t any room for us to order drinks due to having way too many people blocking the bar.

There’s only 3 pool tables. The pool tables are easily occupied if you come on the wrong time. Overall, I would likely come back if I’m around town but likely won’t be back to...
