It's a lot better for parents NOW than it was when my oldest child wanted to frequent the kiddie casino. 20 years ago it was all screaming, crying and public fits (and that wasn't even the kids, it was the moms, my self included from the sensory overload and bad pizza !!). They've become far more parent friendly. Wifi, adult food choices, charging ports for electronics all of which cuts down on the mommy meltdowns and allows the kids to play without being mortified that mommy cried in front of his friends😄 Seriously though, it's a fun place to take your kids and school them on skee ball. Chuck E. Cheese is a right of passage for all parents and kids.
The Pensacola location is staffed with people who seem to actually like children and seem interested in keeping them safe and entertained. If you're a newbie to fun kiddie pandemonium locales, small doses mom and dad, small doses. Also, if they're really young, go on a night/day fot littles, otherwise they're likely to be terrified (and you will be too). C.E.C. has also started a program for kids on the Autism spectrum, this is AMAZING. the normal sounds and chaos can be overwhelming and keep kids on the spectrum from being able to enjoy the right of passage of running wild through Chuck E Cheese, this new program is seeking to help fix that issue! Also, it's a great opportunity to meet other kids and parents who might be a good fit for playdates and sharing resources.
As for birthday parties, I have failed to find the right age for having one here. We tried our oldest at 5 in Kindergarten, no go. We tried our youngest for his 2nd birthday, he was just confused. We've attended ages 1-10 and it always seems like they feel obliged to sit at the table with the adults. I've never seen more miserable kids being forced back to the table to eat cake! I'll save my $$ in the future and if one of my littles wants to go for a birthday we'll just invite and pay for their friends to play games. Yes there are cool bonuses when you book a party but let's be honest, we the parents care about the chance to win more tickets and put our kid in the wind machine to win, win, win!, the kids just want to enjoy their Lord of the Flies moment, let them.
Just remember, when you're here, YOU are outnumbered!
On a serious note, they do take safety seriously. There is a kid check process that ensures the wrong kid doesn't leave with the wrong adult.

Read moreFirst of all I will say they have a big selection of games and they looked good and well maintained. However they don't issue many tickets for prizes which is what the little ones are counting on so that was disappointing. The food is way too expensive and they do not offer many special promos to make it affordable for families. We had no service at all. Not one employee even spoke to us besides the little girl who took our order. I always get disappointed they don't offer Dr Pepper for a soda option also but my main issue with the is the huge huge holes in the turn to get in the restaurant. I mean if you get you were to hit one of them your tire is gone end of story. And they are almost impossible to maneuver around. They have to do better than this. Especially with the prices they charge it is ridiculous to have to risk damaging your vehicle to get inside. It cost my granddaughter and me $65 just for us and she is 5 so that's a little extreme for my liking. I think if they would bring back the coupon sheets they used to have in the newspaper they would get more business and make customers feel like they are trying to provide a fun family place to bring your children and enjoy them that is also affordable. When it is more affordable people are so much more likely to return sooner rather than later. I would also suggest bringing the buffet back on weekends atleast. Food wasn't awful it was average Chuck E Cheese pizza nothing to get excited about. They put alot more effort into having good games for the kids to keep wanting to play than they do the taste of their food lol i would feel safe to say but my grandkids love it so what can you do.....they know exactly how to work their Nana so we...
Read moreI was heartbroken when I arrived at Chuck E. Cheese to find the anama Tronik band no where to be found. The annama tronic band at the Pensacola chuck e cheese defined my childhood. I have sense been to countless Chuck E Cheeses and the performances where always way worse. I returned on my Pilgrimage to this Chuck E Cheese hoping to once again witness the performance of a life time from Chuck and his friends only to be floored by their apparent removal! I lay there crying for several minutes, it felt as though my heart was ripped from my chest and I was forced to watch a chuck e cheese manager eat it in front of me. I ended up vomiting uncontrollably all over the dance floor they had set up. I plead with the manager to show me where they entombed Chuck E Cheese, but to no avail. I have seen many musical performances in my day, and nothing I mean nothing could compare to the anematronak band at the Pensacola chuck e cheese. Their removal is and always will be the worst betrayal of a generation. This Chuck E Cheese, particularly upper management, who are no doubt behind the knife sticking out of my back, have failed this community, in fact they have failed the world. There are no more bands worthy of Grammy nominations, let alone wins, I only came here to present a grammy award I hand made to the amenitronac Chuck, after the snub at the recent awards. This truly is the day the music died for me, and my soul may never recover. To Chuck and the gang, you always were true and loyal friends to me, may your music echo in...
