Paella & Tapas — Restaurant in Trinity

I decided to let my parents off the hook and to give them a (Well needed) break from hosting Christmas dinner. I have been really trying to lose weight and I knew that I wanted to do Seafood instead of Turkey, or ham, lasagna, etc. I decided to do either a Portuguese style Mariscada or Paella. Upon Googling “Best Seafood Restaurant near me,” I found Paella and Tapas. After reading all of the reviews with 5.Stars, another five stars and another, I was sold. I called to place an order and was excited to find out that they take orders and I could pick up my order on Christmas Eve for Christmas day. The gentleman who answered the phone was so polite and personable, it was refreshing. So, I picked up my order for a six person, seafood paella. Not only did I receive my order, which looked absolutely delicious, some stock to pour over prior to heating, aïoli sauce, and a very delicious pastry. Such sweet people, who I’m going to assume are father and daughter. It was definitely delicious. My husband and I will always go out of our way to support small businesses and we’re happy we did! He actually told me to keep the pan and I just returned it a little while ago, while placing an order for a meatball sub. The sub looks delicious! Patricio cooked us up a taste of everything. Crochets, Spanish tortilla and mixed paella. Excellent. Don't let the food truck dissuade you. Our last Spanish meal was at a locally famous restaurant and it doesn't even compare. Happy to have a real deal Spanish spot in our backyard! Call ahead and order if you are hungry. We will certainly be back.

This is a follow up to the first review. Consistency is important and again DELICIOUS! Sampled the flan too. Just like mom makes! Perfect!

Follow up! Chicken Paella is good, but the mixed paella with the seafood is tastier. If I had to choose and you like seafood, I would go mixed or just seafood. Next time Lobster.

Absolutely phenomenal. If you have not been to Spain and had Paella, this is your opportunity. Owners are FROM Valencia and cooking this classic dish in the most authentic way. I had an opportunity to chat with the owners while they honored my request for the "soccorat" (crispy bottom to the rice) and learned that every part of the dish is made with the highest level of care. While they both are hovering over simmering pans of paella cooking away, they are also constantly making homemade stock throughout the day. Nobody cooks this way anymore! If you're concerned about the 30 minutes to 1 hour for your perfect pan of Paella, order a chicken skewer or croquettes to hold you over, sit by the kitchen window and be intoxicated by the aroma of what is to come. This is truly a gem in a most unexpected location and I could not be more happy. This is not just a must-try. This should be a staple meal on anyone's short list of restaurants in...
