8/24/21 update - We've been coming here since they opened and they have given mixed service but always seemed to try. I know they are short staffed and have been hiring for quite some time now but there are still issues. Some of the problems start at a higher level but they are not handling them as well as you would hope. I had not eaten at a Wendy's for quite awhile before this location opened. I had high hopes because they are so close to us. On this visit I used the app to place an order for our family for pickup in the drive thru. It was fairly easy to place the order in the app with what I thought was only one issue. That being that when you order a drink there is not an option for easy or no ice. We ordered some combos with fries and drinks to make things easier. We had one pretzel bacon pub burger and one pretzel bacon pub chicken and a bacon double stack. When we got to the drive thru I told them I had a mobile order and gave them my name. They verified it and sent me to the first window. I was given my receipt and sent to the second window. they gave me our drinks and had me pull forward and said our food would be brought out. After several minutes an employee came out and told us the jalapeno poppers we ordered were not available. I had no clue what he was talking about and it took a minute to find out that they no longer carry the bacon buns and we had to redo our order right there. So basically I paid for pretzel bacon sandwiches and got regular bacon sandwiches which I believe cost a little less. They did nothing for us but we sat for over 15 minutes before we got our replacement order. While everything tasted good it was a let down from what we expected. I was told that they stopped carrying the pretzel buns about 3 days ago. Right behind the guy while he told me this was a giant banner advertising the new pretzel bacon pub burger. Plus it is still all over their menus. I'm sure why Wendy's does these things backward but I feel it is false advertising.
This is a newer location in our area and the closest one to our home. They opened during hard times but seem to be doing a good business. Read morePlaced order on line and attempted to redeem some points rewards. Took pictures of the order and rewards used, always do when ordering on line. When I arrived to pick up order, I noticed that reward order was not included. I asked the guy why not and showed him a picture of the rewards. Another employee approached and stated that their register did not show the reward been used. I show her the picture and she said nothing she can do. I asked her for the manager and she said it was her. I told her maybe I did something wrong when I placed the order, it was my first time using it and if she could show me how to properly do it for next time. Her response, I only see what my computer shows, I don’t know how to use it, this is the Manager!!! I said ok, make me the chicken sandwich and I’ll pay for it. She stated back, can’t do it. I replied I said I’m going to pay for it, make it and I’ll pay for the freaking sandwich!! She yelled back at me why do you have an attitude, I said, can you please make my sandwich so I can get out of here!! She screamed to an employee, make a chicken sandwich so I can give it to this gentleman. I replied back, you are not giving me I am paying for it. She grabbed the sandwich and put it on the counter for me to take. I put $6 on the counter and she said, take your money to which I responded it’s not about the money!! And left. This happened today, may 4 at about 12:40pm at 49503 US 27 Davenport fl. I have to say my grandkids love their food and I’ve been to this store numerous times and always received good treatment from employees I dealt with. I’ve been a loyal customer of the Wendy’s on US 27 in Davenport for quite some time and have always enjoyed my visits. However, my experience today left me feeling deeply disappointed and frustrated. Upon entering, it was evident that the staff was having a rough day, but that’s no excuse for the lack of professionalism and courtesy I encountered.
When I mentioned that my fries were cold and stale, instead of receiving a polite response, I was met with a dismissive attitude from the employee. She didn’t say a word, simply snatched the bag from my hands and handed me another without even an apology. It felt incredibly disrespectful, especially considering I frequent this location and spend a good amount of money there.
As a customer who values good service, I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of the day they’re having. It’s disheartening to feel like my concerns were not taken seriously, and I left feeling unappreciated as a loyal patron.
