I haven't been out to eat since my husband's death. They had a hamburger I was interested in trying, and I had a coupon for it. I decided to go to the restroom first, and my first impression of the place and cleanliness of it started there. It was disgusting. I cringed. I didn't want to touch anything, and after you washed your hands you had to touch everything. Needless to say, my first impression wasn't a good one. Before I continue, let me say I don't have a problem hiring handicapped people. I think it is a great thing. My problem is putting someone that can't speak well, isn't friendly, basically shoves a cup in my face, is not one to put at the counter. For someone hearing impaired, it was frustrating. I got the chili cheeseburger, large fries and med drink. I asked for the fries to be fresh and well done. When I got my meal, it appeared the fries were what I asked for, but when I started eating them, I could tell they were old fries that had been put down again. When I got to the hamburger, I took one bite and I had to wrap it back up. It had been rewarmed. There was not any kind of sauce, or anything on the bottom bun so that made it even drier. You could tell the beans had been rewarmed. I had to douse it with mayo, mustard and catsup to be able to eat half of it. The place has gone downhill big time since my husband and I frequented it. We liked it better than the competition down the street. Even the customer base is different. I took the plunge to go out to relax and destress. I was so disappointed. The place just felt unclean. Oh, I also saw a kitchen employee go out to his car two or three times, and never once did he wash his hands before returning to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually the service is pretty good. Many of the gals that work there are super friendly and I greatly appreciate it. For some reason though, some of the guys working there are not as friendly/hospitable. Last night (7/4/2024), the guy taking orders in the drivethrough felt it was ok to be a smart aleck. Innocently asked if they could do a half sweet and unsweet tea, and he was like "Yeah we can do that it isn't rocket science!" in a sarcastic manner. And then when I asked if I could get a side of plain yellow mustard he said something else sarcastic and acted like the question was an inconvenience (Whataburger will give you plain yellow mustard in a small, clear plastic container for free so I knew they can do it). I've worked fast food before and I know one can get irritated from needy customers all day, and it seems like this guy was in that mindset and taking it out on customers like me who were being friendly and asking simple questions. No need to be a smart aleck and talk down to people like that.... That is the last thing someone needs to hear picking up dinner after a long day of work. Disappointed this Whataburger would let someone act this way, as obviously the other workers around him were hearing it. Again, usually the service is very good there though, so I was surprised at this. I do have to applaud the young lady who gave me my food though, as she was super nice and was accommodating/didn't act like I was an inconvenience when I asked for extra ketchup and got my yellow mustard when it wasn't included in my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could rate 0 stars I would. I sent my fiancĆ© to grab me 2 honey butter chicken biscuits at around 5AM before I had to go to work. He paid in cash and came home with two rock hard, ice cold biscuits. When we went back, we just simply wanted our money back, had both biscuits with only ONE BITE taken out and the receipt. They refused to give our money back and whoever was working the register was a very rude young man with long hair who very clearly did not know the first thing about customer service. Since they wouldnāt give us our money back, we asked for a drink at LEAST and the guy responded with ādid you purchase a drinkā. Are you kidding me?? They gave us two more biscuits and we left disappointed that we couldnāt get our money back. The next two biscuits were UNDERCOOKED with 2 pieces of dark black hair in one of them. When we went back the first time, we were told by the only two people there that there was not a manager there at the moment. When we got home with the two undercooked biscuits (10 mins later) I called asking when a manager would be there and the lady responded with āI am the managerā. Very very bad experience and now Iām sitting at home with 2 undercooked biscuits that arenāt even edible without any chance to get...
