My husband and I decided to come here for lunch. The parking was decent, there is outdoor seating and indoor seating. As we walked in we were greeted by the friendly and happy staff. There was only one gentleman in front of us and then we ordered. Two orders of the Korean Fried Chicken Tacos (only available Tuesday and Wednesday), one order of the Island Nachos and two soft drinks. The place was nice and clean, restrooms were clean, the atmosphere was very welcoming and there was music playing, but not super loud like some places. First to come out was our Island Nachos which the Staff brought all of our food to our table. Island Nachos are: Tuna on a bed of wonton chips, including Kimchi, pickled radish, cilantro, topped with wasabi sesame and honey ginger sauce. One word: delicious. The wonton chips are very light and not greasy at all, the sauce - I need that in a jar! I've never had tuna before and I am hooked! My husband also really enjoyed the Island Nachos. Second the Korean Fried Chicken Tacos which are Crispy fried chicken, tossed in Poke Stops Honey Red Volcano Sauce, topped with Kimchi, Asian slaw, mango salsa, Sriracha aioli, and cilantro on flour tortillas. My oh my when these came out I wondered how I was going to hold them, they are stuffed! After the first bite I can see why these are a favorite, so delicious. You've got sweet, spicy, crunchy, soft and tangy. All the flavors mixed together are delicious. Third. Usually I don't get to go back for dessert, but I have been seeing on Facebook the Dubai Chocolate so you know we had to try it. We decided on the Brownie cup with strawberries, chocolate and the buttered toasted katafi in their pistachio cream - absolutely delicious! I hope y'all keep this on the menu it's so good!
This was our first visit and we absolutely enjoyed it. We...
Read moreIt is not often that I try something new and have to ask myself, "Is this the best meal I've ever had?"
I had to ask myself that today.
I visited Poké Stop MS and grabbed a new item on their menu, Loco Moco.
A beef patty served with mushrooms, gravy, green onions, and furikake on brown rice with a sunny egg.
I don't quite know how to describe it. It's an elegantly simple dish. Like I feel I could make this at home.
...but what makes it special is how spectacularly it's seasoned. Especially the gravy. Just layer after layer of flavor.
A special gravy. The sort of gravy you can tell has been perfected as a family recipe for generations. As a Midwestern white kid, gravy is in my blood. This is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD.
And it's balanced. Not too much gravy. Each ingredient in perfect proportion.
I don't know how everything you do turns out magical, but you did it again!
Go get this...
Read moreI absolutely love Poke Stop! I am always trying new items and the owner is the sweetest person! All of her staff are always very nice, courteous, and polite, etc! Any questions you have, the owner will gladly help you with and if there is ever anything wrong, let her know and she will make it right! Wonderful customer service, wonderful food and great atmosphere! Been going to Poke Stop since back in the days when they were in the Cultivation Hall in Jackson. I've included pics of a pork bao bun, eggrolls, rangoons, my Poke bowl that I build myself, the whipped coffee, the chocolate peanut butter frappe with brown sugar and cinnamon boba, and the mango frappe with mango boba, the spicy tuna and cream cheese poppers. I have more pics in my phone but I couldn't...
