January 15, 2025. No response from anyone to my letter..corporate or local. BUYER BEWARE THIS STORE DOES NOT HONOUR THEIR OWN GIFT CARDS!!
I stopped by the local store in Foley, Alabama and attempted to use a corporate Krispy Kreme gift card. After making my selection and going to the cash register I was told they did not accept Krispy Kreme gift cards! I was forced to pay cash for my order. The following is a letter I wrote to the corporate office without response:

Dear sir,
This past Saturday I visited store 236 (Foley, Al) to purchase a dozen donuts and redeem a gift card. The gift card was given to my physically challenged daughter after a recent acute healthcare event. After my selection and at the register I was informed that this store did not take Krispy Kreme gift cards. This was really quite a shock and I contested but in fact a supervisor indicated that the store did not accept corporate gift cards. I was forced to either cancel the order or pay with cash which I opted to do.
Since this is the only store in the immediate locality. I am returning the gift card for a $25 refund. I am also submitting the 18.14 receipt because I was forced to either cancel the order or use cash.
On Monday December 16th I called (336)725-2981 in an attempt to register this complaint and determine how I should request a refund for this gift card. Unfortunately, no one was available to answer my call.
Certainly this complaint should be addressed immediately. A corporation refusing to accept its own gift card and requiring patrons to pay cash instead seems to have legal implications, especially if this is a corporate ploy to increase revenue.

Read moreDon't risk ordering online. If they don't have the specialty donuts you ordered, they won't reimburse you. Been 3 months now and after contacting corporate, it's very clear they just don't care. Just like the line of crap they give you here as a response, they do the same on the phone.
UPDATE, yeah, been 2 months now and still haven't reimbursed me for the order I paid for but didn't receive. I call, they claim it's been submitted. What a poor way to treat your customers 😕
UPDATE, well its been one month now since my visit where they over charged me and sold me the wrong product. I've had contact with corporate 3 times and still have not received a refund. What a wonderful way to run a company. When you pull up to a fast food drive thru and pay for food. Then proceed to the next window to pick it up and they inform they dont have what you paid for, but they need to substitute a cheaper item. You then get reimbursed the difference. Why is that so hard to understand. Its not the dollar amount that is the problem. Its the fact that you dont know how to correct a problem when you screw over a customer. Figure it out corporate!!! Ordered 2 dozen donuts online last night and went to pick them up. When I got there they said they didn't have the 8 specialty donuts in stock, they would need to substitute others. Well I already paid online and the ones they substituted were cheaper. When I asked how to get refunded for the difference they said " oh, you need to do that online, they couldn't do it". I'm not real sure how to do that and I guess it's up to me to reach out to corporate. We'll see how that goes. Also when I get home I see there is atleast 4 donuts that we didn't order. Read moreCame to redeem a certificate for one dozen glazed. Came to the door to find it locked. The manager was wiping down tables. I got in my car and went to the drive thru to which there was another car waiting and after about 5 mins of waiting I went back to the front door and knock on it to which h I find the manager giving me a dirty look. She proceeded to go to the side door to let an employee in and as she came to the door to unlock it for me she gave me an even more nastier look. I politely asked whys the door locked when you closed at 10:00pm according to the hours on google. She then said the lobby closes at 9:00pm and the drive thru at 10:00pm. I said ok but there’s nothing posted showing that to which she told me to loose the attitude and go through the drive thru, to which I did. Once I got back into the line, the same car that was there when I first got there was still in the line and at this point it had been 10 minutes. I proceeded to the window to which I asked the young lady at the window about why the hours aren’t posted about the lobby closing at 9:00pm and she said that the GM told them to not post the hours and that corporate had changed the hours. The manager proceeded to shove the box of doughnuts in my face and closed the window and locked it. I will not be coming back anytime soon if that’s how they treat customers.
