I specifically dropped in over the weekend for the prime rib special. I was hankering for prime rib. I know… BJs ain’t a steakhouse. So how good is the prime rib? Well, it was not bad at all. It was tasty with simple, classic flavors. It wasn’t amazing, earth shattering delicious nor awful. BJ only offers prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays after 4 pm and all day on Sunday. For $35, you get a 15 oz cut with soup or salad, two sides and a pizookie. I ordered the meat cooked medium rare with a green salad and sides of a baked potato and pencil asparagus. The green salad was a larger than expected serving size. It looked and tasted fresh. The meat came out cooked a perfect medium rare. It was super tender. Simple, tasty classic flavors. Keeping it old school and simple. The au jus and creamy horseradish could have been jazzed up a bit more as well. I had to remind myself to save room for dessert. I ordered the brownie sundae pizookie. Warm brownie pizookie topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Mmm. It was gorgeous. Decadently delicious… sugar overload! That brownie was darn good. Hubs had a mini pepperoni pizza. It was pan baked, giving it a buttery flaky crust. He enjoyed it. But complained about the size and price. It was kids size (not from the kids menu) and was priced close to $16. Our server was Lucas, he was an outstanding server. Great attitude and very on point. He was training another server, Jordan. They both were great. But overall, the restaurant was understaffed and unable to seat everyone right away even though there was ample seating. So that’s great that they are training more staff.

SEE PIZZA UPDATE BELOW!! Always a great selection of beer, but the lunch specials and daily deals Mon-thurs really make this a great choice. The unlimited soups(3) and salads (3) is an amazing mix and match fest. All delicious. Update needed! June 17 2025 While a large pizza is one of the Perks when you are a member of the Beer Club, which I joined immediately, the pizzas didn't really compete with dedicated pizza joints. AMAZING PIZZA NEWS This BJs location is one of only 12 in the country to beta test a whole different product and at price point about $10 less than previous! Got my first yesterday and discussed it all with the very personable Manager Issac while he was out supporting the friendly but busy waitstaff like Robin our wonderfully friendly gal. Completly new recipe for the crust creates a crisp bottom and great outer edge in contact with the rim of the deep dish pan, but rises with noticible tiny air pockets, keeping the inside soft with a great lighter texture. The toppings go all the way to the edge and are cut finer, so they adhere better to the more generous amount of sauce they use now. They even splash on spots of sauce after topping for example the BJs favorite. No more big chunks of sausage rolling off a tough exposed crust. Had to share this news!! Real game changer. I went 1/2 and 1/2 Favorite and Bacon Chicken Ranch. Both sides outstanding. Reheats in air fryer to perfect crispiness. Of course, it's hard to beat the 8 different $13 weekday meals, including your mini pizookie.

VERY DISAPPOINTING... animals are being treated better on the farm. I've been to several BJ's before and it was always a good experience, however this one was THE WORST.I came to celebrate my daughter's birthday, called and reserved a table for 7pm ahead of time, unfortunately we got to our table around 8pm because the table wasn't ready. Place was filthy, underneath our table was food remains from the previous customers, and the table was sticky because someone had spilled soda on it, seats were dirty. I've asked the staff 3 times to clean up our table, but unfortunately the table was still sticky. Waitress was absolutely useless, she was unfriendly and had no clue what to recommend or what was on the menu. I've clearly asked to prepare filet mignon "medium rare", however it came "well done" what a waste of good meat. Other dishes weren't better either. I'm feeling sorry for myself, my family and for the guests I have invited to celebrate my daughter's birthday at this restaurant. I can go on and on...however I don't think that owners will read it and take a necessary steps to address the issues and bring it to BJ's level. $260 wasted, very disappointed and disgusted with this visit P.S. in the image there is a "fresh" leaf, which was probably placed into my plate by the "chef" from one of the dirty dishes in the kitchen. First and last time at this location and probably at BJ's as well.

This restaurant has fallen into the abyss. In the last year service has declined, servers are lazy and careless, everyone seems to be oblivious to the fact that they have been employed to make guests feel welcome and appreciated.

The very best and most outstanding, servers we've ever encountered were at this mid level restaurant/pub. Remember the TV show, "Cheers?" Yes indeed, that was how we were greeted. They knew our drink order and appetizer order before we were even seated. That is how you encourage customers to come back! We loved those servers! In particular, Jamie Mize who always went above and beyond and then some! She was a treasure and now she has moved on and I believe to another BJ's. I really hope the management there appreciates her.

Let me tell you something, if this corporation wants to stay relevant and move forward, improving and not just wallowing in the status quo, the powers-that-be should take a good look at seriously dedicated, intelligent, competent employees who make customers like us feel like we were being welcomed home. We loved this place. Not so much anymore.

Which brings me to the point of tonight's nightmare. Because the Olympics are on we decided to grab an order to go. I called. Placed my order. I confirmed that all we needed to do was park in the Take Out space. He said 15 minutes till pick-up. We got there, parked and waited. And waited. By the way, it's HOT in Folsom at this time of day on August 19, 2016. Called the number on the sign, got an apology, some girl finally came out, no food, just questions. She went back in. Again we waited. The guy who took my order finally came out. No food. He said he told me to call the number on the sign when we got there. I told him that was not true. And it went on. At some point this kid told me he was going to "tell my manager" about how I spoke to him and that he didn't have to "take it." Wow. I never yelled at him. I never swore at him. My husband was right there and if I had behaved badly, believe me he would have told me to tone it down.

This place was a fun neighborhood getaway with just about anything anyone could want to choose from on a nicely diverse menu. We probably live less that a tenth of a mile away and this was our go-to place for Friday night. We have brought family and friends. I don't think we would do that again. Just walking into the place being (not) greeted by some inexperienced, clueless girl, who would rather chat and laugh with her coworkers who seem to have nothing better to do than observe the influx of diners waiting in line is offensive.

I don't think we'll ever darken their doors again. Nothing like feeling unwelcome and unappreciated, challenged and disrespected as a brilliant way to lose good customers.

Well done, form a "gold...

Long time BJS fan, and this was without a doubt the worst location I have ever been to. Came in with a party of eight. The restraunt was about a third full. Placed drink orders and appetizer orders. Drinks came out quickly as did appetizers. The drinks and appetizers were great but out server disapeared for a long time before coming back to take our food order and tell us she was going on break and we would have another server. Food arrived shortly, for 6 of the 8 people. After almost ten minutes, we finally got someone's attention (we were sitting in the back corner) and asked about the food. After a few more minutes, we had a server we hadn't seen before come by and re take our orders with no explanation. Then our replacement server came out with our food and said they had just freshly remade it (which was a lie, it had been sitting in the window) I had orderd my steak medium rare and it was dry and hard as a piece of leather and looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for half an hour. I gave it to the server and he took it back. He came back out a few minutes later and said it would be ten minutes or more to remake it. I told him nevermind as everyone else was done eating at this point and a medium rare steak does not take that long to cook. The manager then came over and tried to argue with the entire table about the steak and said someone had betger take it or they would just throw it away. After receiving the new unwanted food (which was also overcooked), it took almost an additional twenty minutes to get the check after asking. Other issues with the food included asparagus on three different plates black and burnt, a prime rib dry as leather and overcooked, and one of the tri-tip dinners cane out covered in BBQ sauce. Overall the worst experience I have ever had at any BJs. I will make the drive to Arden next time I'm in the area and will never...

Disappointing can't even begin to describe the catering order for our company holiday party. I ordered the Specialty Entree Combo with slow roasted tri-tip and the cauliflower quinoa power bowl, as well as house salad. It also comes with breadsticks. I did arrive a few minutes early, the pickup area was unmanned so I waited at the arrival desk. There were staff chatting at the bar, and it took a few minutes before anyone even came over even though they saw me standing there. I was escorted back to the pickup area and after a few more minutes, I was asked if I was Renee (I am), and I replied yes. He said the order was ready and he would be right back with it. Over 10 minutes later, he reappeared with the food bagged up. I asked about plates and utensils. He said it was all in there. I took it to our company party and opened it up. It only had service for 5, and small cardboard plates. But was was really disappointing was the food. Salad was not full, the meat was not even close to what was pictured. Power bowl was sloppily put together. We counted 16 pieces of meat, very thinly sliced, and slathered with sauce. And no, this wasn't an issue from things settling during a short trip. We were shorted a lot of food, especially the tri-tip. This was supposed to be a meal for 12 people according to the website. Not even. Having ordered from your restaurant before, I knew what to expect. We've ordered the tri-tip before. I called and asked to speak with the manager to try and get this resolved, but was told the manager was not available. I left my name, order info and phone number. This was Wednesday. I spent over $200 on the food and we didn't get anywhere near that in value. It is now Friday and I still have not received a call back. Something has really gone sideways for catering and needs...
