I am a cream and sugar coffee drinker but that is a habit I formed at 16. The garbage black coffee I drank at my parents house put me off black coffee. I am venturing back in once I started talking to a coffee connoisseur. This connoisseur who we will call Cameron would not shut up about V60, Chemex, pour over coffee blah blah blah. For years he blathered. Finally, I told him I'd try it. I bought a French Press, and a grinder and went o Kingdom Roasters and picked out a Ethiopian whole bean roasted a day or two prior. I followed the instructions with my new French press and weighed out the coffee and water... poured it into my cup and took my first sip of black coffee in years. It is excellent. The coffee was not overwhelming acid... but smooth and flavorful. I was amazed. Apparently coffee is an tasting experience that I now enjoy right next to scotch and wine tasting. Looking forward to trying more roasts and venturing into Chemex. The french press is my gateway drug I fear. Kingdom is a great place... love the...

I usually get a latte and a croissant as my first items to try at any coffee shop. This way I can test their espresso and milk blend. Second, they must have great sweet bites and a croissant is a must.
Latte tasted great. The overall microfoam was lacking as compared to another favorite coffee shop of mine that nails it consistently in Sacramento downtown.
The croissant was excellent. Buttery, crispy and soft but most importantly tasty.
Decor and atmosphere was also excellent and on par with top coffee spots in Sac and CA.
I will be trying their espresso and pour over next and I am sure it will be great.
Highly recommend to stop by if you're in the area and need coffee or to just enjoy the cool industrial decor. Please skip Starbucks and get a proper cup of...
Read moreFirst time going here. Not very friendly baristas or cashier. Felt really uncomfortable when asked where the lids were since I had to break up his conversation with his co-worker and blatantly points. No communication. Ordered a vanilla almond latte, and first sip was grainy, and watery. The blueberry lemon scone was on point, but it's not like they baked it there. For a small drink and pastry almost $10 blown. This place is trying to be like Temple (downtown Sacramento, love that place) but it's failing in what they have. Patience in creating a great coffee, and communication with it's customers. Will never be coming back and continue to go to Temple. Two stars are obviously...
