Ok, so judge for yourself what to do. We left a 5 star for the buffet food first visit, and a couple of other visits were a 4 for the buffet food. Now we just won't go ever again. It's not worth the time and stomach ache. This last time, all the buffet food was reheated days old, nasty gut-wrenching horribleness. Even the tea was watered down. The Naan was the only fresh & good thing to eat. Every time the service & friendliness was great, but that does not make up for the horrible atmosphere. Every time we went, there was a fly that annoyed the hell out of you. Makes you wonder if there are maggots in the kitchen? And it's not that clean in there. Also, the workers would sit right next to you constantly on their phone with the volume up. No matter where we sat, they sat right next to you, and it was very uncomfortable and didn't make for a good dining experience. And there was a group of them. As the owner of the restaurant who is there the majority of the time, you should care about your customers' experience and the quality of the food you serve! Don't you want them to come back? That's how businesses stay open. Now, before this, when the food was fresh, it was amazingly good. It had the right Indian flavors and spices that made your mouth water with happiness. We can not attest to ordering off the menu if you're going to get fresh cooked food each time or reheated old food. So for our family and friends, we will not be going back because the owner does not care to make sure the customers are getting good fresh quality food everytime and a clean and stress free...
Read moreFirst off, out-sourced microwaved naan⌠I tried to request naan that wasnât chewy. The person working there literally laughed and said it was microwaved and outsourced. If you like chewy microwaved naan come here. I took one bite and through the rest back. If I want bad naan like this Iâll try and cook it myself. Iâve never ever been to an Indian food restaurant that didnât at least crisp and cook their naan on a grill or flat top. Like come on. I couldnât believe a basic staple like this was neglected. This was my first impression since naan comes pretty quickly⌠Seeing the naan I knew instantly this place was mediocre and likely overrated.
I was right. The tandoori wasnât grilled it was likely cooked in an oven wrapped in tinfoil making it extremely moist and oily. Sitting in broth/water. Flavor was nothing special. Their chicken and paneer tikka masala was good. Unfortunately, I will never come back here. This place was a total let down. I donât understand the reviews. I love trying out new Indian food, and this has to be one of the worst Iâve had in Sacramento since living here.
Before being bummed out about the food I noticed there were quite a few flies around the buffet. This establishment wasnât very well kept. Just seemed a bit rundown. However, I like to try different Indian foods from different establishments so I bit the bullet. Buy...
Read moreI highly recommend this place. I used to live in Virginia, where there were a few great spots for Hyderabad food. When I moved to Sacramento, I was disappointed to find none and was constantly on the lookout for a place that served delicious biryani and curries. This restaurant truly lives up to its name. The staff is amazing and very hospitable. We love going to their weekend buffets almost every week; they have a huge selection of items. 02/04/2025 I am updating my 5-star review to 1 star. When this place first opened, their food was outstanding, but over time, theyâve significantly compromised on both taste and quality. Now, the food is completely tasteless and blandâeven the curries are just meh. Itâs no longer the same.
I recommend trying Bakery Bites and Chaat Paradise in the same block insteadâthey offer tastier and more affordable food. The only downside is that neither serves non-veg, but they always maintain great quality and value for money.
Iâve been repeatedly disappointed by the curries and biryani over the past several months. Even after giving their weekend buffet two chances, I found everything flavorless and noticeably oldâyou could tell the chicken in the appetizers wasnât fresh. They may have lowered the buffet price, but it came at the cost of quality.
No longer...
