Burritos El Potosino — Restaurant in Folsom

Love this place!! We come here literally multiple times a week and haven't gotten tired of it yet. I usually get the same thing, carne asada fries, and they are the best in town. They're simple, thick cut fries, tender steak, cheese, guac and sour cream. Topped with hot sauce and it's heaven! My husband tries many things but when I find something I like, I tend to stick with it. He usually gets the California burrito but we've tried tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas and they're all good. The red hot sauce is so spicy but so flavorful too, you don't need much to go very far! Actually all of the sauces are very flavorful. I'm recommending the food and service here to anyone that will listen. We came by the first time because we've been looking for San Diego style Mexican food and another review mentioned that this restaurant was the closest they've found. We agree! It's not exactly the same but it's local and here at home with us, they're super sweet people, and the portions are huge and always delicious. We pulled off the freeway for Chili's. But the wait was 45 minutes so we tried Burritos across the street. So glad we did! The super burrito was actually SUPER with tender carne asada and A LOT of it. My shredded chicken tostada was simply made but the chicken was moist and flavorful and the crispy tostada stayed crispy til the last bite. Lastly, the gal at the register was so nice, hospitality was noted and the whole time she was cleaning something if she wasn't serving us. I love the food here, but it's not like the Mexican food that we usually get. For example, the carne asada burrito lists the following: carne asada, pico de gallo, and guacamole. When you bite into that burrito, you're going to find carne asada, pico de gallo, and guacamole. There's no filler in there. If it doesn't say rice and beans, there's no rice and beans. At first, this threw me off, but after a few bites I realized that this is the way burritos should...
