The two of us were hankering for a deep dish pizza on a Friday night. Well then off to Chicago Fire for us, me taking along a Lactaid pill or two. We ended up at the Folsom Palladio location. We waited 27 minutes for a table in the dining room. Not a bad wait. But I noticed the hostesses were monitoring capacity, the restaurant had more tables than servers. They limited areas of seating, we wanted a table but were given only a choice of two person mini booth. The interior waiting area was comfortable enough with its cushioned bench seating and views of the TVs, and they had outdoor benches as well. The customer service was great. Ariel was our server. 5star service.
We ordered the deep dish multi course dinner for two $33.99. It comes with a small deep dish, choice of Cesar or primo salad, and choice of mini delight dessert or cheesy bread. Everything tasted darn good. The primo house salad was a big serving size. Fresh, basic ingredients mainly romaine lettuce. The star of the salad was the croutons. They were a few in there but by golly they were delicious. Seasoned well, and the perfect crunch level (not hard, or underbaked). Tasted home made but I am not sure if they actually were. We ordered pepperoni and Italian sausage ( fyi additional charge for the added topping, the price is only for plain cheese. Additional toppings are $2.50 each. I was assuming the price included one topping until I saw the bill). Anyways, the deep dish does take longer to bake, but those extra minutes are worth it. It came out with a hot with ⦠a golden crisp edged crust, as expected a thing of beauty cheese stretch, flavorful pizza sauce, and tasty bottom crust. Mmm. We ordered the dessert, it was a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream with a cherry on top. Sweet decadence. Mmm. My lactaid was working overtime. All worth it ;D
The parking situation is not ideal for folks unable to walk far. There are no temporary spots near the restaurant to unload. The parking structure is around the corner, a bit of a walk. And at around 10pm on a Friday night in the lot, I saw a man peeing against a car, a car speeding around with people hanging (waist up) out of the sunroof, and two cars racing against each other to get out of the lot. Dinner and a show. I have been here plenty of times during the day, never seen these types of witless shenanigans especially in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time ever going and was very impressed! Not only by the food but the excellent customer service by everyone we came in contact with, especially our server Aleesha. She was so attentive and was great with suggestions with everything I asked her about. For being so young she had a great work ethic. I can tell she takes her job seriously and her goal is to take care of the customer and always had a smile on her face while doing it. We were impressed with the atmosphere and how everyone seemed to be doing their job and seemed to be enjoying it. Unfortunately these days it's too often that you go somewhere and the customer service is terrible. They act as though it's an inconveinance to do the job they get paid to do. Not only that you can tell how unhappy the people are that they work there. Almost as if they just want a paycheck not a "job" But that was definately not the case at Chicago fire. Comfortable atmosphere, great employees and great food. We will definately be back! Also I want to mention how great the manager is. He not only came to our table once, he came back a second time to check on us and make sure we were enjoying things and had everything we needed. He made us feel as though he truly cared whether or not we had a good experience there. This place definately stands above the majority of other restaurants. (I have previously worked many years dealing with the public and customer service. So how I get treated when I go somewhere and how well the customer service is really stands out to me more than the average person. So when I feel that an employee or a company does such a great job, I feel they deserve recognition) Thanks for taking care of us and making sure we had a good experience!! Cant wait till the next time! Keep doing what you're doing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis past Friday we went to Chicago Fire in Folsom, and I took my 6 year old daughter to wash her hands. While we were washing, a guy walked out and asked āEver see a big __?ā Iāll let you fill in the rest. We were the only other ones in the restroom.
I called at him but he ignored me and kept walking. I took my daughter back to our table and went to tell the manager (JR) what happened, pointing the guy out. He said heād talk to his General Manager (Ian I believe) to see what their response will be.
Their response was to do nothing and try to sweep it under the rug.
JR never returned to our table. When I went to ask what was being done, he informed me thereās nothing they could do, implying that I may not be telling the truth. At this point the (insert choice words here) man had had a nice meal and was about to leave. It was too late to call the police but this guy wasnāt going to get away with it, so I went and told his wife and everyone around what he had just said in front of a 6 year old girl. He never denied saying it.
The next day I went and talked with the general manager Ian. He said they didnāt have cameras in the bathroom and it was a sensitive issue, telling me heād ātalk to JRā. The problem is JR talked to his general manager, so it was his call.
The reason for the review is not the dirty old perv - heās scum and will hopefully be dealt with. The restaurantās response was a complete failure though, and their lack of communication prevented the authorities being called in time. Sometimeās the ātwo sidesā are just right and wrong. But the restaurant placed their concern for a guy who had just said something vile and potentially criminal to a 6 year old girl on par or above us and our daughter.
