Stepping into this restaurant felt like being instantly transported to a different world. The charming pink, grey, and blue color scheme was a stark contrast to the building’s darker exterior. As my friend and I sat down, the air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of curry and spices.
The staff member who took our order was incredibly sweet, attentive, and patient as we made our choices. For appetizers, we went with the samosas and pani puri, while for our main dishes, we selected the mixed grill and mango chicken curry. Since the curry was served à la carte, we also ordered a side of rice and naan.
The order in which the food arrived was a bit unusual: first came the samosas, which made sense, then the mixed grill, followed by the pani puri, the mango chicken, and finally the rice and naan. We originally ordered two servings of rice and naan, but when we saw how large the portion of rice was (enough to feed three people), the waitress kindly offered to take one back when she noticed our surprised expressions.
Food Review:
• Samosas: The freshly fried samosas were small but bursting with flavor. They were generously filled with perfectly seasoned potatoes and peas, accompanied by a delicious sweet sauce and a spicy herb sauce. 8.5/10 • Pani Puri: The crispy exterior of the pani puri was perfectly balanced by the soft potatoes and spices inside. I loved the refreshing, herby cold soup (for lack of a better term) that we added to the pani puri. 9.8/10 • Mixed Grill: The mixed grill included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, shish kebab, lamb boti, and tandoori fish. We were both surprised by the generous portion size, with the plate full to the brim. Our favorite was the tandoori fish, which melted in our mouths, but all the meats were well-grilled and delicious. 8.8/10 • Mango Chicken: The curry was a well-balanced blend of savory, sweet, and slightly spicy flavors. The large pieces of chicken were tender and tasty, though the mango flavor was not particularly...
Read moreThis is coming from an Indian, Punjabi person/family who is picky with their Indian food… My parents and I were looking to get some Indian food nearby our house and I came across this gem through Google Maps. I saw the menu and pictures and was definitely wanting to order! I ordered food over the phone and had a delightful experience. The lady was very polite and patient with my questions I had. She quoted me a time frame of when I can expect the food to be ready by. I made my way there and found parking up front of the small restaurant. So I went inside to pick up the food and the gentleman I met inside was very courteous! I paid and took the food home… Everything was packed very well! Now to the fun part! Once my parents and I took the first bite of our food, we all looked at each other with great shock at how AMAZING the food was! It was so amazing that my Father said that it was the best Chana Masala he’s had in America & my Father is a VERY picky guy haha, so that’s saying something. I loved the Paneer Masala, it wasn’t so heavy and the paneer was soft enough to break down with a plastic spoon haha! My Mother enjoyed the Black Daal very much and the spice level was perfect (we got spicy). Last but NOT least, the Roti’s were perfect, big round in shape and thin!! Every bite was truly amazing!! Thank you very much for a great first of many experiences!! We look forward to ordering many more things on the menu!! Also, I do wanna get some sweets too cause that all looked amazing, but my Father would kill me seeing that at home (he’s a sugar patient lol), maybe just for me… insert...
Read moreMasala Twist is an absolute gem of an Indian restaurant that left me thoroughly impressed. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, and the flavors were nothing short of spectacular—rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced. It was a true delight with every bite.
The garlic naan was cooked to perfection, soft with just the right amount of char, and paired beautifully with the tikka masala. As for the basmati rice, it was simply outstanding—light, fluffy, and bursting with freshness.
I also tried the samosas, which had a wonderfully crisp exterior and a savory-sweet filling that was perfectly spiced. Every bite was a treat.
On top of the incredible food, the owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant’s decor is also a standout—it’s like a visual journey around the world, making the dining experience even more memorable.
Without a doubt, this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had, not just in the Inland Empire, but anywhere. I can’t recommend Masala...
