Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Forest City

This Restaurant does NOT want your business!

This is my 3rd visit since they opened several months ago. I went the first week (bad experience), a week ago (problems), and today (terrible).

Arrived in the 2nd drive-through lane at 3:58PM. A few seconds before me, another car entered the 1st drive-through lane. The store had no inside customers. There was no one in the drive through at the building.

Within a minute, someone said to car #1 – “We’ll be with you in a minute.”

A few minutes later, someone said to my car – “We’ll be with you in a few minutes.”

A few minutes later, someone started taking the 1st car’s order.

After waiting a total of 5+ minutes, someone finally took my order. I ordered “Two Apple Pies for $2.50” (per the menu board).

I got to Window #1 and someone was inside, but, we sat waiting for more than 5 minutes. After that time, I knocked on the window to ask what was going on… not sure what the answer was, but finally, Jasmine said “the GM says to give you the two apple pies at the regular price ($1.89) minus a senior discount”. Basically, she said she was charging me a dollar more than she was supposed to.

I showed her a picture of the menu board showing $2.50. She said (several times) – “Our system doesn’t have that in it” and she made it clear that she would not fix the price under any circumstances. She said “I texted the GM and that is what she said to do”.

I had mentioned to the GM a week ago that if she didn’t want to sell things at the advertised price, she could put a Band-Aid over the price she wouldn’t honor… that didn’t happen. The GM said (a week ago), that she would train all of her team on how to handle the matter so that the correct price would be charged, even though the system wasn't properly configured. That never happened.

Overall, this restaurant is not one I will ever go back to. If they can’t honestly charge customers what the menu says, they should just close the doors.

And, having me wait more than 10 minutes with an empty restaurant before they even think about asking me to pay means they don’t know...

Popeyes is the best chicken place on the planet. This place CLEARLY has a MANAGEMENT problem. I feel the staff would perform much better and food would be ready when you order it rather than a five minute wait on this and a 12 minute wait on that. This falls on the management.how is it at 5 o’clock, dinner time that you don’t have fried chicken ready to go. Isn’t this supposed to be a fried chicken place. Get your game face on because you’re giving Popeyes a blackeye and that upsets me because like I said… Best chicken on the planet. Tighten up guys. We love you now. Get your game face on go to work. A friendly word to the wise: this is a chicken place and you should have chicken ready to go. And if you want to sell any of the extras like the desserts, you should also have them ready to go. Everyone there seem to be in a days in a complete state of confusion. They didn’t know which way was what what was up what was down. Absolutely pathetic Popeyes please come save the store. There’s no excuse why you shouldn’t blow all these other garbage chicken places out of the water. I’m very disappointed. Oh, and the chicken was undercooked inside and overcooked outside. I don’t know what that’s all about. That is never happened to me at Popeyes before. There are some folks in Burlington at Popeyes. That would probably love to come up here and show you guys what you’re supposed to do. i’ll be back but it better be...

FOR PEOPLE WHO MAKE $15 AN HOUR OR MORE. When I went it was Sunday night when I got there there was no one in the parking lot except for cars of people who work there, Within a couple of minutes two cars went through the drive-thru with no problem, I heard them say "Can I take your order" as soon as they pulled up. So I can already tell it's going to be a restaurant where most of the people go through the drive-thru instead of going in. Yet I went in it was clean NO roaches like in some established restaurants in the area..... The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I do not eat spicy food so I got the honey barbecue, tasted all right to me. But wow is this place expensive. I did not get a family dinner and it's perhaps a good thing I did not very very pricey for a fast food restaurant. Working man's menu was high but not as high as I thought it would be.
