Krekel's Custard — Restaurant in Forsyth

It was average, in my opinion. There is nothing extra special about it. And I'm sorry, but $30+ dollars for 2 people to eat some smash burgers is not worth it to me. And .99 cents for extra condiments that should be offered for free except the cheese and bacon couldn't be any more ridiculous. We could have gone next door to steak and shake and gotten the same thing with all the condiment fixings for the amount we spent there. With a chili Mac milkshake and 2 desserts for that price. But I was told the burgers were "out of this world delicious." The fact I had to eat the same crinkle fries that are sold at save a lot that are generic was beyond an insult to my pallet, and appetite is even more beyond ridiculous. Muchless the burger burnt, the tops and tongues of our mouths made it even more difficult to taste the actual burger. McDonald's has better fries than the save a lot crinkle fries they serve there. I've been to many burger shops in 38 states and have never been as misled, such as this recommendation for a burger place. Needless to say, I don't think I will ever return to crinkles again unless it's free and someone else is paying. Steak and Shake have better food and more for your meal, appatite, and bucks. I don't think I've ever stepped foot into a more underwhelming burger restaurant in my life. I could make a better smash burger than what they served us, with my eyes shut and 1 tied behind my back. And unless they send a free meal or gift card, I will publicly tell anyone about this overwhelmingly disappointing restaurant. For a delicious burger, try the burger shack in Casey Illinois or grubeez in Davenport Iowa. Blows Crinkles out of this...

Super disappointed in the staff here, but maybe it's a reflection on management, I'm not sure. I have ALWAYS loved this place, until today. My son ordered a double cheeseburger and they must have misunderstood what he wanted on it, and instead of saying, " We're sorry, let us fix it", the mouthy girl behind the counter just wanted to argue about what we ordered. Then , on top of that ,we ( and pretty much everybody else in the place) had to listen to her carry on about how somebody called her disrespectful in the parking lot ( which was probably accurate), making our already bad experience even worse. We have been going here for a long time ( since I was a teenager and I'm 48 now) and NEVER had a problem until today. We weren't looking to be jerks, we just wanted our order , which we paid real money for, to be right. I really hope somebody there reads this and tries to make it right, but sadly I have grown to believe good customer service is no more. I don't think we will return here for a very long time , which kills me to say because again , I have always told everyone how great this place is. I guess I'll just have go to the one on Oakland...

They typically hv very good customer service but one of the (the older Caucasian lady) women manager's was really rude and lied, right in my face. Yesterday, a matter of fact the younger Caucasian (the same one who messed up on my order before) woman got my order wrong. Whenever, I do buy food from there, I always order the same thing. Always! The older gal, claimed, I complained about my food everytime, whenever, I buy from their establishment. Look, that was a right down bold faced fib. If my order is messed up, please just fix it. You can see that demonic spirit rising up in this woman. I've only had a problem with my order maybe a year ago and Yesterday. This lady was big mad and very unprofessional today. After, I left the window after ordering my food today, she was still talking crazy. I was completely floored. I wish I knew the cooperate number, bc, I would definitely make a complaint on that lady.
