My wife and I went to Texas Roadhouse for our 13th Anniversary. It was slammed but that's expected on the weekend. Our waiter was horrible. He didn't smile once. It was obvious he didn't want to be there. Anyway, we got seated quickly. But then we waited at our table for 15 minutes before the waiter showed up. He finally showed up and we got our bread and honey butter. The bread was literally cold and hard. He took our drink orders and we ordered a cactus blossom. The blossom was small but good. My wife got her drink which she enjoyed. Then we ordered. About twenty minutes later my wife's food came out. All of her meal. I was presented with 1 of the sides I ordered. A cup of chili. I like to eat my steak and sides together. So I waited and waited and waited. Another 20 mins later my steak and baked potato came. At this point I'm like alright I overlook the terrible service. But then I took a bite of my steak. Now I love salt. Love it, so when I say they poured an entire salt shaker on my steak I'm being serious. I couldn't eat it. So backing up a bit, when they had brought the steak and potato out I asked them to re-warm the cup of chili. Which has become like warm. Which they did. I'm not joking, another 20 minutes later they brought my chili back reheated. When he brought the chili and told him about the steak. I said nah just take it off our bill. He convinced me to try another steak. So I said yes..... another 20 minutes pass. So I asked a waitress passing by to speak with the manager. 10 minutes later an assistant manager showed up. I told her, but she didn't really care. So I convinced her to remove my meal from the bill. At that moment they brought out a steak out. I was just like, keep it I no longer want it. The assistant manager was like, no take this burned up nasty ass steak. We fed it to our dogs. We were so disappointed and upset. We chose them for our anniversary dinner and they completely ruined it. We're no longer going to eat there, and we're are sharing our experience with family and friends and all who read this review. The owner of that Texas Roadhouse franchise needs to clean house at the Forsyth location. Stay away from that restaurant if you...
Read moreThe only reason this is two stars is the steak for my steak salad was very good.
Ordered for curbside. arrived on time after ordering ahead, texted as I had been directed by Texas Roadhouse' system... order not done yet, they will text me when it's done. Wait... wait... wait... finally 20 minutes after my pickup time with no more text coming in I call.
Upon calling, I was treated to another 20 minutes or so of their hold music: A mindless Texas Roadhouse country song over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over. I finally get a girl to pick up..... and am told "OH I'll put you over to the TO-Go people!" - On hold again another 10 minutes or so.
I had to take a call from my father at that point, and ended up calling them back again. This time when I get "I'll get you to To-Go!" girl on the phone I ask for an ETA on my food. She says "Oh it's been here ready for like 10 minutes or more!" - I'd never gotten another text from their system as promised..... nobody came out to check and see if I was there... nothing. Just mindless, droning "Texas Roadhouse!" country music over, and over, and over. So with most of my food cold I finally leave a good 45 minutes or so after my pickup time. (Word of advice here ppl: Never, ever order Curbside or takeout from Texas roadhouse. This isn't the only one I"ve had this poor experience with, Texas Roadhouse has a problem with this, and it's a pattern).
So I get to the hotel and look at the boneless wings I'd ordered to take in for lunch tomorrow: Tiny, skimpy, pathetic portion. Definitely not worth it for what you pay, and they were soggy and tasteless.
Never again. As I said I've had this problem with other Texas Roadhouse locations (The Bradley/Bourbonnais location) and it's a pattern. They don't have their stuff together on takeout. YOu'll get cold soggy food, VERY LATE, long after your pickup time, and the sorry state of it will indicate that it probably WAS ready at your pickup time but they didn't want you to have it for another 30-45 minutes.
Total waste of $60+ bucks and I...
Read moreOver the course of the past year My family and I have eaten there 3 different occasions and each time have had a different slew of problems. The first time, all our food came out cold and 4 of the 7 meals we ordered were incorrect to differing degrees, and some had to be sent back.
The second time it was just my immediate family of 5, we were seated in the back near the restrooms and were ignored for over 30 minutes until I went to the bar and asked for the manager to come over to our table. He then comped almost half our meal, gave us our drinks, which had not been ordered yet. and assured us that this was not the normal from there servers.
Today we gave them a third attempt. We were once again seated back by the bathroom area. while we were not ignored by the server, he only came by when the order was placed or when he was bringing us items, never just checked up on us to see how things were going. All of the Fries orders (kids) were cold and stale. My wifes burger had to be sent back for being made wrong. I had ordered a baked potato, with butter and cheese, it came with only the butter, and then they brought out a container of shredded cheddar cheese which i promptly put on the potato so the cheese could melt. This never happened, as my potato was at room temperature. My Medium done steak was at room temperature as well. the Middle was pink in spots but the edges were burnt to a crisp, almost as if it was sitting in the warmer waiting too long.
I will NEVER go back to this Texas Roadhouse as I have given them 3 chances throughout a year to improve and they have only gone downhill. even after dealing with one of there managers during an...
