Re: Forsyth, IL location The sales girl at the makeup counter was extremely rude and disdainful. I was very nice and even thanked her. She didn’t respond. I would have thought I was imagining it or overreacting if my easygoing elderly dad hadn’t noticed too. Just because I’m dressed down in jeans and a t-shirt doesn’t mean I should be treated like a piece of trash. I got a store credit on a merchandise card for a gift that didn’t fit (that lady was very nice). I took it to the makeup counter. Went to buy my makeup and they were out. When she didn’t offer - I asked her have it mailed it to me. She filled out a slip with my mailing information and wrote down the #/info off the card. Said she’d order it. I left and realized I didn’t have a receipt. Plus she didn’t ring it up while I was there which I later thought was weird. I was so shocked by the nasty way I was treated that I didn’t think to ask her why she didn’t ring it up at that time or get a copy of the order. I didn’t think to note her name. It’s a week later and I just checked. The $$ is still on the card. No phone call. I will never shop Von Maur again. As far as I’m concerned she represents Von Maur. Von Maur is an upscale department store. The women's department has finally got on board with a new buyer that is carrying better brands for us! I worked here when the store first came to Forsyth and we were required to write thank you notes and give awesome customer service. Unfortunately that does not seem to happen anymore. I was shopping late an hour before the store closed and finally went to the jewelry department to find someone to ring me up with my purchase. I just feel like the customer service is not what it used to be but besides Kohl's our town doesn't have much so I will continue to shop here. As much money as I spend in this store it would be nice to have a contact that let me know when items went on sale or if something came in and they thought I might be interested but no one has ever asked to put me in their contact book so that's a bit...

Best high dollar store in a Decatur! The staff are all nice and helpful and the girl in customer service I think her name was Ashly was by herself today 5-17-23 and she still managed to get my things wrapped in a reasonably fast amount of time She polighty told me it might be a few minutes cause she was the only one working. all while the phone was ringing and people coming up. My packages never looked so better before and I love that they have free wrapping. Downside is not allot of choices but it’s still free. Linda in alterations is also very good at doing alterations and she’s super nice and patient with her clients. I Also shopped the clearance racks and scored me some great deals. Very satisfied shopper that will be back. Couldn’t ask for a better store. All of the staff there is so nice...
