My son loves Best Buy, loved everything about them until today. He has ears that are a little hard to fit headphones but thought he’d try some AirPods. Went and bought them, went to the car and put them in, went to the convenience store one block away and they were already hurting him. Being so close to the store still we went right back to return them, we were helped by Ryan who took off with the box and then came back literally shaking and refusing to return them stating that the serial numbers didn’t match, I say this is not acceptable we just bought these, he says it’ll have to be acceptable because these aren’t the same and then Alex steps in saying we switched the boxes and stole the AirPods. I didn’t even know this was a thing people do because my brain doesn’t work that way. I don’t have the mind of a criminal! I got his name and a phone number for corporate and stepped out front never leaving their front door area. My son looked at the receipt to try and figure out what was happening and immediately found the serial number and guess what, they matched. We walked back in and Ryan says to us in front of God and everyone that we switched the box again!!!! At this point I’m absolutely livid and cursing and was literally fighting with multiple store employees at the same time and then here comes Elijah, beautifully calm, professional and understanding. He was so sorry that we had been treated this way and called thieves multiple times by two different employees and just like it should have been to begin with he inspected the AirPods, the box, made sure they were still the brand new ones and refunded my son. On our way to the car we caught Ryan trying to follow us out to it!!!! We will NEVER go there again!!!! How sad is it that this world is what it is and that you’re automatically accused and blatantly called a thief. Because the AirPods hurt his ears what use is there in keeping them? They thought they were being real clever and thought they could bully us but we weren’t budging, this was wrong!!! I’m not proud of my behavior either but you push people and sometimes they push back! It makes me wonder, if I were in a business suit and high heels instead of sweat pants and flip flops with my tattoos showing and if my son were a lighter shade of brown and dressed in Abercrombie would we have been treated differently? I can’t quite figure this out! These two men SHOULD not have a job anywhere near customer service and Best Buy should be ashamed to employ people like this! The lack of professionalism is astounding!!! I have never been called a thief, nor has my son and my anger got the best of me. My apologies to everyone else who had to witness ALL of our behaviors. Thank heavens for Elijah, he was the epitome of professionalism and deserves some praise!!!!! The other two deserve to be fired. Hopefully you never need to return AirPods while Alex and Ryan are...
Read moreFIrst off, does anyone else find the employee at the door asking how they can help you a little awkward? Why can't I just come in the door and shop? Maybe it's just me. I start with five stars because this store has always been clean and the employees are helpful. I took off a star for selling phones they do not have in stock. There are a lot of phones on display that are not available in the store. If I wanted to order the phone, I wouldn't need to shop in the store. I took off a star for the employee working in the phone section this afternoon. If I was only rating today's experience, regarding this one employee, it would be zero stars. He asked us questions and then told us that we didn't want to "do that" or "go with them". I realize that his job is to sell not just the phone, but the cellular service with a contract. I get it, really. But when he asked what carrier we had he tried to tell us they were going to go bankrupt. When we said we did not want an Apple product, he tried to tell us we would be easily hacked on our androids and his tone and attitude were rude. When we did decide on the phone we were buying, we asked if they had cases for it. He walked over to the cases grabbed two items off the rack and said this is the only one. He took it to his register without another word. Maybe we don't like that one? Maybe we want to go buy a case at Walmart? Maybe we don't like being talked down to and if we didn't need the phone tonight, you wouldn't get the sale. When we were checking out we said we didn't need the screen protector he had "picked up for us". He arrogantly told us we absolutely wanted a screen protector and inferred our teenage son would ruin the phone if we didn't put a screen protector on it. I was planning to buy a second phone. Although I don't spend a lot on phones, my husband had decided we were buying a higher-end Samsung for me. However, at this point we were so tired of being talked down to and treated like he knew what was best and we should just do what he said, we left the store. I will buy my phone from an employee who is willing to answer my questions, not demand I answer his. Oh, yeah and don't try to tell me how the world is going to "crap" while trying to sell me a phone. Just don't. I am there to purchase a product, not hear your...
Read moreThe employees are helpful and friendly but there are several other areas this location needs to improve on. When calling the store you are pushed through the automated choices only to end up holding for at least 35 minutes waiting for an actual person to answer. I’ve placed several in store and online orders for delivery and store pick up with no issue until I bought a few major appliances. I placed an order for a Samsung washer and dryer set with matching pedestals. I was able to take the washer home that day and the pedestals were delivered two weeks later. A month later and I’m STILL waiting for my dryer. The washer and two pedestals have been sitting in my garage this whole time still in the boxes while I’ve been waiting to receive my dryer. I originally had it set for delivery but the delivery day came and went with no dryer in stock. The manager then changed my order to store pick up because they assured me it would be faster to get it and my pick up day came and went with no dryer in stock still. Not going to lie at this point I’m pretty mad. When I called and spoke to a manager she had absolutely no idea as to a specific date when the dryer will be in stock and my order fulfilled. Yet on their website they still give a promised delivery or pick up date when you order it. Meaning they’re still taking orders and blatantly LYING to customers about when they’ll receive the item. This is unacceptable! Now that an entire month has passed by the washer and dyer set I bought from them are no longer on sale. So even if I cancel the dryer order and drag the washer and pedestals back into the store for a refund to buy from somewhere else I’ll have a huge difference ($400) to make up for something I had paid in full at Best Buy. I will never buy another appliance from them again. UPDATE I finally picked up the dryer...
