Explorado Market - Gluten Free Bakery, Coffee, Café — Restaurant in Fort Collins

Omg this place is AMAZING (bold, triple underline, highlight, all the things)! As someone who is GF/DF, I can rarely get pastries from places. I came to town to visit some in-laws for the holiday, and one thing I did before arriving was search out possible GF bakeries knowing that CO potentially catered to this lifestyle a bit more than other areas. This was the first thing that popped up and it was a "must visit" on our (or rather, my) to-do list. My in-laws that live here have been here before and said it was good. My only correction to their statement is that it's great! Every single item they make is GF, peanut free, soy free, and ZERO seed oils used, ever. I entered the place knowing I would get an assortment of pastries to try, and not a single thing disappointed! Everything was fresh and delicious. Seriously, if you're not GF, you would have a hard time knowing you were eating a GF item, and THAT is the mark of an excellent GF baker/bakery! Even the drinks were incredible. I had gotten a latte at the start, and finished my visit off with a seasonal soda to go. Delicious. Service was quick and everyone was polite. If I come back to visit my in-laws, I will definitely be back to grab more pastries. I just wish I could have this place back where I live because I would be a frequent visitor for sure. All I can is - if you follow a GF diet, you must visit, and if you're not a GF individual, then you must visit :)...

Finally made a priority to get there and load up on GF treats. I've been eyeing Explorado for several months, their Instagram is one giant temptation! I got a variety of baked goods and even tried some freeze dried skittles. I've taken 1 (or more) bites of each thing since I got home, not a single criticism for any of it! The brownie was perfectly crunchy on top and soft in the middle, the GF cookie had amazing flavor and wasn't over salted like many GF cookies are, and the freeze dried candy is an awesome & unique way to serve and eat candy. I really love the extra crunchiness of it!

Kendra was working when I got there, such an awesome woman to chat with. I loved hearing about their family business and am so stoked to have access to a variety of GF baked goods all with unique flavors and quality baking. Texture is everything when you remove gluten, and man does Explorado nail it! Even my gluten eating husband said, "You wouldn't know the difference."

Gluten is my only dietary limitation, so I didn't pay much attention to other options they have. I did see they have Keto baked goods and I believe they also make dairy free products. Great local family serving their community through...

I have a love/hate for this place! It is AMAZING that they are dedicated gluten free, etc. Food is tasty and well made! However, they are ALWAYS out of almost everything and cannot for the life of them get the supply and demand in order! They have so many items on their menu that they only have available 30% of the time. Example: cinnamon rolls, Dutch crisp, pop tarts etc. They often run out of their pizzas, etc. If people are buying those items fast and selling out, shouldn’t you make more of those and less of the donuts and muffins that are always available?! You can get gf donuts and muffins several places in town, the people want the other stuff, the stuff that sells out! Put your energy there! I come here multiple times a week, and every single time, no matter the time of day, they are sold out of what I want and what the person in front of me wants. It’s frustrating. When you have a craving and it’s on the menu, but they just “didn’t” make it that day, which is what they tell you, it is so frustrating! Please, take this post into consideration!
