The Human Bean — Restaurant in Fort Collins

I will be taking my business to other coffee shops in town. (Ziggys, Cups, Mugs, Starbucks, literally anywhere else!!) I brought in 3 punch cards, one if which was completely full of punches, totaling about 16 cups of coffee that I have puchased at this establishment. That is a total of over $100 spent on coffee and the barista said they would not honor the full punch card to get a free drink because "there is no way to redeem it". Since they have moved to the app. And the punches also don't transfer to the app. I'm sure there is some button on the computer that says free drink and all you have to do is press it. As a business, you are showing zero appreciation for your returning customers that are willing to spend $100 on your coffee by refusing to honor a piece of paper and give me a free $7 coffee, which I rightfully earned. Ziggys coffee also moved to an app and they are giving people 10% off their drink for every punch completed on their old punch cards. Maybe learn from Ziggys about how to keep your customers happy. The soapilla coffee I ordered tasted like vanilla flavored water anyway so that's just another reason to never go back to...

I wanted to try the Human Bean because I have never had it before for myself and my mother in law. I was super excited. I ordered a medium mocha and medium Chai. I asked for whip cream on both. I think they overestimated how much they should put because a huge amount of the actual drink was missing. The whip cream melted by time I got to my mother in laws nursing home. I know that whip cream melts but I was shocked by how much drink was actually in our cup. The first photo is the Chai and the second is the mocha.

Human Bean reached out to me to get more information about my visit and to receive the photos I had taken (I couldn't figure out how to add them for a google review). The manager was very nice and apologetic about the experience. They went ahead and sent me a gift card in the mail to make up for the experience. I really enjoyed the coffee I got here (their equivalent to a frappachino) and my dad got the Hawaiian latte (with white chocolate and coconut syrup) which he also loved. However, I would suggest you get a smaller size if you get a coffee with sweetener, because while they are absolutely amazing and delicious, they can upset your stomach a bit from just how much sugar there is, but again, totally worth it. The service was also really nice and speedy, and the person who took our order in the drive through was very helpful and happy to give us recommendations. The only reason I'm not eating this 5 stars is due to the breakfast sandwich I got-- most of it was pretty good for what it was, but the egg was just really funky. I think it might have been steamed and was not super fresh because it was a bit rubbery.
