Terrible service. Unfriendly and fake waitress. We ordered wings. They brought out something with onions on it. We were expecting traditional buffalo style wings. We thought about just keeping them but they were burnt around the edges and it didn’t look tasty. The waitress could tell I was disappointed. So she offered to switch them out with the wings that we wanted. She was gone less than five minutes, and when she came back, it was the exact same wings. They just poured hot sauce on them, and took away the onions. You could still see some onion residue. It was the same exact wings that were burnt around the edges and you could tell that they didn’t taste right. We didn’t say anything we just ate them and they were not good. We ordered a pizza with the meat. The pizza was so dry there is no tomato sauce on their recipe. I didn’t understand why they’re supposed to be so famous because it’s not the experience I would expect at a restaurant like this. We did a takeout pizza and we had a bad experience and I was hoping to give them another chance and it’s still disappointing. There’s a different style and recipe, but this pizza was absolutely no fun and the wings were disgusting, the waitresses attitude was that she didn’t care and this seemed like a horrible experience. I ate one slice of the carnivori pie pizza and that was it for me. My wife wasn’t impressed either. we asked for a box and the check, she hovered over me as I was paying the bill watching to see the tip amount which I gave her 20% because she was standing there on top of us. I looked around at some of the food. The other people had ordered and maybe we ordered wrong. Maybe the restaurant is just fine but that is twice we’ve had a bad experience with their pizza. On a positive side the restaurant is very nice. Has a good bar. The bathrooms are clean no complaints about the atmosphere. It looks like a really cool place to hang out. my advice to use if you go there do your homework before you order one of their overcooked pizzas make sure you get something you’re going to like. Clarify just to make sure that you’re not disappointed...
Read moreI've been going to this Anthony's location strictly for pizza for over a year now. My favorite menu items from this place are the margherita pizza, Paulie pies pizza and meatballs and ricotta pizza. I have tried their other specialty and traditional pizzas as well and they're also good. But these are my three personal favorite.
Their pizza crust is thin and crispy (just make sure they don't burn it because it is placed on hot coals), the meats they use are traditional and flavorful, but their tomato's sauce is what ties it all up and makes the pizzas here so delicious.
Also, the service here is great and takeout is always a breeze. I order online and pickup 20 minutes later without issues. Make sure you drive a small car there, because their parking lot situation gets really cramped and they do get busy. I believe there's additional parking outside the parking lot on the side though.
Now, the reason for the 4 star is because they did fall short on other areas. I was disappointed with their chicken wings and garlic bread. The garlic bread was a little dried up on the inside and too oily on the outside (go figure). The chicken wings were just okay and smothered in caramelized onions. Also, they don't offer a chicken topping option for pizza. It's all meats, not that there's anything wrong with that, but if you like your chicken and barbecue pizza you might need to go somewhere else.
Another thing, sometimes they do burn your pizza crust and deliver it to you that way. I believe that if the crust is straight up black charcoal around your entire pizza, it's probably best to remake it before giving it to you. Nobody will find it appetizing to bite into a piece of charcoal and cheese, no matter how you slice it.
But other than that, this place can be a little slice of heaven and does not disappoint on...
Read moreMy wife and I are visiting from out of state and staying at a hotel near the airport. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Wings is only a couple miles from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived about 4:30, purposely hoping to beat the crowd and get back to our hotel after a long day of driving. The restaurant was not crowded. It was quite inviting: industrial looking black ceilings with exposed duct work, crisp white walls with sports memorabilia, and wooden tables and chairs stained a warm medium brown. Sports highlights played on several widescreen TVs, although the sound of the TVs was not playing. Music filled the air instead, which I prefer, though it was just a tad loud for good conversation to take place. There is also a patio for dining for those who enjoy the great outdoors.
Our server, Nikki, approached our table with menus and introduced herself. She was friendly, conversational, and helpful. She gave the impression that she was glad we stopped in and was happy to serve us.
We ordered a large Italian salad to split between the two of us and a 12" pizza: half Italian sausage and half pepperoni. The salad came quickly. It was cold and crisp and all the produce tasted fresh and delicious. We both enjoyed the house dressing that came on the salad. Before we finished eating our salad, our pizza arrived. The taste of the toppings were excellent, but what I was really excited about was the crust. These pizzas are wood fired which gives the crust a crispiness (especially at the edge) and a hint of char that really enhances the flavor.
We loved our meal and were left satisfied with the quality and quantity of what we received. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. If we were locals, this place would certainly be in our...
