There is some truth to the recent negative reviews. This bar needs to do better. On 12/21/2024, the only bartender in the sidebar was unfriendly and inattentive, rudely ignoring patrons who were waiting to order. She seemed more interested in chatting with a friend than serving customers, and she was visibly annoyed when she was asked to take an order. Some bouncers could also do a better job of enforcing rules in a civilized manner. Drink prices are highâ$4 for water is insane. To the management: Don't disrespect your loyal patrons or take them for granted.
I won't be back to this place for several reasons, especially not during the holidays. There have been reports of violence at this venue, including a widely reported incident in which a patron celebrating his birthday ended up in a coma. According to news outlets (WPLG10, NBC6, summer 2023), the bouncer involved allegedly left the state afterward, avoiding accountability. I've also personally witnessed a troubling incident where one patron seemed to instigate a fight by directing someone else to sucker punch another person. These incidents point to deeper issues that need to be addressed. For example, that patron hasn't been banned, he's still a regular.
Regarding the stripper pole platform, Iâve noticed that men are removed while women are allowed to stay. In the past, Iâve seen men being forcibly yanked off the platform without warning. While the bar may have unwritten rules about this, forceful methods seem unnecessary. A sign or polite tap on the shoulder or a verbal request to leave would be a more respectful and professional approach. If the bar has improved its methods or plans to do so, that would be a step in the right direction.
To the patrons: Donât support discriminatory or violent behavior. If you see something concerning, say something. Bear witness, gather evidence, and know your rights. If youâve been injured or discriminated against, consider seeking legal advice. Remember, YOU are the customer, and THEY are there to serve and entertain you. Hold this place accountable when they...
Read moreSomeone there stole my friends wallet, weâre almost pretty sure it was the bouncer because he looked in our other friends purse when we walked in (literally spread it open with his fingers very nonchalantly) when we notified the people that worked there they did not care at allâŚabsolutely no help at all and they said âit happensâ Since the owner has responded to this post I figured I would add some more info. I came in with a group of 4, all 4 of us had purses. First person went in and I was busy getting my id out so I did not see what happened (this was the person who had her wallet stolen). Second person went in, this is when I saw the bouncer open her purse without her knowing. Did not ask, did not warn, did it as she was walking past him. He didnât stop her to ask if he could look, he did it sneakily. Then the other two of us went through and we put our hands over them and they were zippedâŚno one touched our purses. Doesnât seem like standard procedure to check one persons open purse without warning and no one elseâs. Along with this our bags were not checked at any other bars and we were at several all throughout the week. The bouncer may have had no part in the missing walletâŚwe donât know, but the events leading up to us noticing it was missing were strange and the staff did not care at all. And last thing to add, after this all took place and we went on with our week, anytime it would get brought up to someone from the Fort Lauderdale area, they knew exactly what bar we were talking about, and said that they are not surprised this happened and it happens all the time there. So clearly itâs an on...
Read moreDefinitely would NOT RECOMMEND!!! A group of friends and I went there the night of 10/12/24. One of my friends is a gay male and the bouncer yelled âHey yall heâs gay! Keep that in mind and watch him!â We were all super super taken a back by the blatant disrespect. When we all decided to leave after the homophobic and disrespectful comment, my friend (the gay male) was looking for our other friends with his phone in his hand so we can leave, and a different bouncer got really aggressive with him and got in his face and said âyo yo what are doing!?â to the point where my guy friend had to put his hands up and stop the bouncer from getting in his face. Weâve been to Caponeâs twice before and witnessed the bouncers being aggressive with other patrons and this time it hit us. WE WILL NEVER come back. Weâre students at a local college and weâve told the fraternities and sororities. With being a club in SoFlo where the LGBTQ population is large, SHAME ON YOU for allowing homophobia to reside. Looking at some of the other reviews you all have always had serious problems with your bouncers, itâs time to change that, ASAP! One of our friends has a brother that works for the local news and we had to talk her out of letting channel 7 know. Not...
