Grain and Berry - Fort Lauderdale — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

We have been there 3 times since we discovered it a couple weeks ago. Spoke to Sarah all 3 visits. Last one yesterday will be the last time. Unfriendly employees, no eye contact, if they are doing something if you walk in they did not look up to acknowledge . We had to ask, hello, can we order? Yesterday when we returned we asked about our previous week visit that was the day that you were offering free smoothies with a quesadilla purchase. Unbeknownst to us that day, I saw it on Instagram after the fact( one day later)so thinking ok, when we return we will show Sarah and naturally they will honor their error. Nothing close. We were told "oh in order to receive that you would have to have asked." WHAT? So a business that runs specials are not the ones that should tell customers? The customers that may not be attached to social media daily to see the specials, they are the party that is responsible to ask for something they are unaware of? Who ever heard of such nonsense. You tell your customer when they order the quesadilla that today you receive a free smoothie and you ask them if they want it. Employees need to be trained to smile, pay attention, make eye contact, be alert and aware when customers are standing at counter, and being polite and professional would not hurt either. Very disappointed in this outcome. You guys just lost a big bunch of customers because we would have continued to return as we did to date but brought new...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Grain and Berry, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the fresh, healthy menu.

Quick share about what's becoming my favorite little neighborhood spot. I went in just after lunch after having a late start this morning. I usually order it DD and it's always good, so today I decided to go myself. There was one young girl, literally running around doing everything(and a great job of it), then there were 2 other uniformed employees simply doing nothing. One looked like he didn't know what a blender was. The other, we'll, I'm not quite sure how to explain that but it wasn't good. They may have both began today. One never knows. But homegirl with the reddish hair early 20s killed it. As a service guy, I wanted to jump back and help. Which also bothered me a bit. The phone rang, it was handed to to someone to answer a question above their heads.
