My family has been here several times over the past few months. The service in the evenings has consistently been awful. We have been served by two women with a light olive complexion and black hair. Tonight was the last straw, nothing they serve is good enough to be treated as poorly as we have been. There are plenty of places to get wonderful gelato in FTL. Long story short, every time we have gone, the bad attitude has been next level. The total contempt oozing from the attendant from the moment you ask for a taste of gelato is unbelievable. After we got past the taste tests came 1. A bait and switch 2. Being short changed the amount of gelato that was given back after the bait and switch incident. 3. An attempt at being totally ignored and passed over to another customer. 4. Lies. 5. Threats, and I quote, “I better never see you here again”. 6. A smart alec response to the situation by incredibly overfilling the cup when I only wanted the same amount I returned to her. The excess was left behind.

Pan'e Dolci Italian Bakery is a charming gem that transports you straight to Italy with its cozy and quaint atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air, making you feel right at home. The ambiance is reminiscent of a traditional Italian bakery, with warm lighting and rustic decor that invites you to linger and savor every moment. The highlight of the bakery is undoubtedly the mouthwatering selection of freshly baked croissants and paninis. Each bite is a delight, with flaky layers and delicious fillings that melt in your mouth. And to complete the authentic Italian experience, their espresso is a must-try. Rich, bold, and expertly brewed, it's the perfect complement to the pastries and adds a touch of Italian flair to your visit. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or indulging in a leisurely coffee break, Pan'e Dolci Italian Bakery is sure to leave you craving more.

In my opinion this is the right place to have an ice cream in Las Olas. Small selection of ice creams, but the ones that they have a really good. It’s creamy, tasty, good and the right amount of sugar. Besides this, they have deserts like biscotti, cannoli, tartaletas and my favorite one that is “milhojas” or millefeuille. They sell extra large box of ice cream to go. The staff is friendly. I assumed that the owner is Italian because is the only place that I’ve seen in Florida with variety of cannoli; and also because the quality is good. This place is located in Las Olas Boulevard, which is convenience for having the dessert after eating in a restaurant. Plenty of parking lots around the area. Walkable distance is you pretend to walk to the beach and through the boulevard. Old school and classic decoration with a few stools to sit inside. Favorite flavors: coconut and stracciatella.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE We wanted to try Pané Dolci Italian Bakery, due my wife is italian and also all her relatives living in Fort Lauderdale recomended it. We went to the place by Lauderdale by The Sea las monday May 24th arround 7 pm and we were ver, I mean very rude treated by the lady at that time. For no reason, she answered us very reluctantly and in an unpleasant tone. She seemed not to be comfortable with us visiting the place. My children were deciding which ice cream to try and at that point my wife asked about the "paninis". She manifested with her gestures that she did not like the idea of having to go to the other counter to be asked about the paninis. In the middle of that, a family that was there eating sang "happy birthday" for one of her daughters and apparently that put her in a worse mood. Then, using very unkind tones, she returned to the ice cream counter and when one of my children said he wanted a double ice cream, she asked "what size", to which I told her that I did not know what she meant by that, since I told her I wanted two scoops of ice cream for my son. Then, annoyed, she waved three types of glasses on the counter and said "see which ones you can afford" and tried to withdraw to another part of the premises. At that time I no longer wanted to continue to endure her mistreatment, which I deduce probably originated because she saw that my family spoke Spanish (I speak English perfectly) but she definitely treated us very badly. I expressed my annoyance and told her that we no longer wanted to consume anything from the place and we left. A very bad and sad experience with that lady in Pan´e Dolci...

Absolutely horrible customer service, went in for what was supposed to an enjoyable dessert and espresso and the homophobic lady working there gave us everything to go with plastic spoons that bent when it couldn't break the stale cookie. She then refused to give me metal utensils and I showed her how the spoon bent and then she gave me metal utensils. 1 min after she announced we close in 5 min, it was 11:11.. 1 min later they start sweeping and rushed us out. We forgot something and went back and surprised to see the door still open and a large group walked in before us and it was 11:20. I waited and they were helped ... I walked back in and asked why we were rushed to leave because they were closing but have new customers in the store, I asked her why she treats people the way she did and she had no response and just laughed. DO NOT SUPPORT

Update: I've come back the following morning to speak with a manager and online it states they open at 8:30am the window at the shop has an open sighn and States they open at 8:00am. I've tried calling multiple times. There appears to be a guy in the kitchen. They've had pastries out on the counter since at least 10am when I first arrived here, and nothing is covered.

The same lady with long black greasy hair open at 12 the next day and I asked to speak with the owner, she said he'll never answer you and she gave me cash for a refund and wanted to keep my receipt and I as I was leaving she started filming me saying I stole from her and I went back in videoing...

As seen by other reviews I've done, customer service is the number one aspect I look for in businesses. This particular establishment lacks it and BAD.

I rarely leave a negative review unless it's warranted but in this case I had to pass it forward and help someone else out. Stay away, this place does not deserve your business! I wish I would have looked at some of the reviews prior to entering this establishment, reading through them now it’s apparent management is aware of the horrendous service provided by the young lady behind the counter as if goes back years. I honestly cannot recall the last time someone was that arrogant and almost happy to be this rude to a customer. The ice cream is Overpriced ($11 for a cone), but what's worse than the price is that they call it gelato. This was not even close to what gelato is, it was not creamy and the flavors tasted artificial. Not real pistachio or Nutella but flavoring mixed in with a small amount of the real thing. They truly don’t want you there and it’s almost as if you are doing them a favor. If I wasn’t there with friends from out of town, I would have left everything at the counter. They do not deserve your business. I don’t think any locals truly eat here,...
