We visited our "use to be" favorite place after going for dinner on Las Olas on Wednesday night. The place was pretty empty. Before ordering drinks, we double checked with the bartender lady that they still have "locals" special, which I believe was 50% off. She said Yes. We ordered 4 drinks and were going to order another round, but this time the bartender lady asked fo my ID, which I had no problem providing. She ran inside and told me that she cannot offer us a discount because my ID says I'm from Wilton Manors. Just FYI Wilton Manors is a small City that is located inside and surrounded by city of Ft Lauderdale. I asked for the the manager and she went inside for couple minutes. She came back and said that the manager is doing paperwork and he cannot talk to us at the moment, which seemed ridiculous seems since there were maybe ten people at the establishment at that moment and it was 10pm or so. We were pretty upset. To grab the manager attention I quickly mentioned that I will dispute the charges on my credit card, which of course I had no intention doing so. Guess what... The manager named MJ showed up in 30 seconds, I guess he was not doing any paperwork after all. He was very nasty talking to me and we think he had few drinks as well. Long story short, he told us that the bartenders are not trained very well(not sure why it was our problem) and he said to my face that I should NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE. After hearing all this nonsense I closed my tab, gave a bartender a $20 cash tip and told MJ to take a walk. The owners should take a closer look at MJ's managing skills and should provide him a better training on how to talk to the customers. I will NEVER step inside this place again. There are plenty of places to go near by. BYE BYE RHYTHM & VINE!
Here is the message I just got from the Rhythm and Vine manager. I left 1-star review 2 years ago on how unprofessionally the management was and here is what I get 2 years later! From Michael J. (Orlando, FL/ 560 friends 7 reviews 0 photos):
"Remember me?? You wrote a bad review about me when I managed at Rhythm and Vine, and you wanna know what that accomplished you?? NOTHING! I actually got promoted after that day! Haha ! Jokes...
Read more(Sigh) I write my his with a heavy heart. I love this place. I think itâs great. Great vibe. Drinks. I think Itâs amazing. I even met the owner a few times when I was buying property in the area. Way before he opened 27 and the Wilder. But this evening, I walked in with a few friends, who have just been recently engaged, like literally JUST been enaged. Like he JUST got on his knees and propsed. I digress. I asked the bartender for a âwedding shotâ recommendation. At first I thought her attitude to my question was natural. Maybe this was just her character. But then, she turned to her fellow bartender and said....and I quote, âI donât have any âeffinâ reccomendations, get the âeffâ away from my bar.â [Replace the âeffsâ with the actual word.] I stress that I was surrounded by my friends and complete strangers. And everyone was nothing short of appalled by her reaction. I politely asked the bartender if she said what I thought she said. âDid you just tell me to âget the âeffâ away from your bar?ââ To this, she stammered, fumbled over her words. I donât like to cause a scene, so I told her that she would be hearing from me this week. Iâm in the biz, several of them. And I really donât think that this kind of behavior is acceptable, especially at a place like Rhythm and Vine. I will be contacting the owner this week to rectify this matter. This young lady needs to adhere to the proper vibe of these(his)(their) businesses. All the years Iâve been going to them all, and i have never met a person who had zero regard for customer service. I would rather not point âfingersâ but, I walked in at 8pm. Outside bar...she worked alongside a brunette in jean shorts. I apologize for the 1-Star but tonight, this employee was a direct representation of your brand. And for this, i ask customers to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Your night might actually be ruined at this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Rhythm and Vine, and I must say, it's truly a hidden gem nestled in Fort Lauderdale. From the inviting ambiance to the delicious array of craft beers, this place has quickly become one of my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy good company.
First and foremost, let's talk about the beer selection. Rhythm and Vine boasts an impressive variety of brews, from local favorites to unique imports. Whether you're into hoppy IPAs or refreshing lagers, there's something here to satisfy every palate. Plus, the knowledgeable staff are always happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences.
The atmosphere at Rhythm is another major draw. The outdoor seating area is spacious and inviting, perfect for soaking up some sun on a lazy afternoon or enjoying a cool breeze in the evening. The rustic decor and vibrant greenery create a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that's ideal for both intimate gatherings and lively group outings.
Now, onto the only downside: the bathroom lines for women. While I adore everything else about Rhythm, it's impossible to ignore the frustration of waiting in long queues for the restroom. As someone who values efficiency and convenience, I hope the management considers implementing measures to address this issue, such as adding more facilities or optimizing the existing ones.
Despite this minor inconvenience, I can't help but sing the praises of Rhythm. From the fantastic beer selection to the inviting atmosphere, it's clear that this place has a lot to offer. I'll definitely be returning soon, bathroom...
