Held off on this review for a bit as it was my 4th time visiting this location. Let’s talk about the good first!
Brunch @ the bar! Love the vibe at the bar for brunch. Staff is awesome, bloody with bacon is on point and we had an amazing time (1st visit). Food was about average , nothing to write home about , but the vibe made up for it.
Brunch @ table. Meh. It was around Easter of 2024 and had the carrot cake pancakes - SUPER dry and forgettable outside the frosting (that was killer). Again, had a bloody and it was wonderful. But it was a one off special and the atmosphere was great.
Dinner @ table. June 2024 Meh. Had an old fashioned and it was ok, just not $15 bucks ok. We had some solid apps, but the main course was lacking. I ordered off the main menu - nothing super adventurous - just a shrimp Caesar. It was, to put it mildly, bland. My sister had the Italian feast and it looked wonderful, but most of the others at the table had similar experiences. Ok, we are 1-2 now. We didn’t send anything back, we just struggled to find anything that was mind blowing.
4th (and last, visit) was super excited for this! It was my mom’s 80th bday and I brought her two dozen roses at the bar b/c she loves her gin and tonics! Grabbed a couple of beers and then we headed to our table … this is where things go really south. We are set in the back - behind a glass partition. Like cramped on the back. There are two long tables there , but come on … it’s her 80th bday and all she wanted was to be around her family like the queen she is … instead, she spent the night talking to like 2 of us instead of all 8.
This time, I sent food back. I think the chef either dropped a box of salt on everything or cooked / braised / fried everything in sea water. I had the crab cakes with salted spinach. Honestly it was like Ron Jeremy sauce was slathered all over the spinach as it was so salty. Like my tears from this review so salty. Crab cakes just, well, sucked. Salty too. Had two bites and sent it back (didn’t ask for anything else) My wife had some fried chicken cutlet dish … and guess what, it was salty too. Maybe Rocco Sifriedi was on playing duty that night, idk.
All in all, come in for HH or brunch at the bar and you probably won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for an older 40+ South Florida vibe. Again, bar staff is great and 1/2 price apps are solid. The rest of the menu … well, as their shirts say, “be kind” so I’ll leave that up to your Vivid Studios...

Read moreOk so I learned one thing on my visit to foxy brown that was brought to my attention: you cannot have amazing food and amazing service. Everything thing we ordered off the menu was phenomenal! It was delicious!!! The service was so-so but the food made up for it 10x over. We ordered French toast sticks and the banana bread grilled cheese for staters, my favorite was definitely the French toast sticks, they were more like French toast donuts bc they were fried and were probably my favorite item of the whole morning! Definitely recommend them if you try their brunch don’t leave with out trying this item! We ordered the chicken and waffle sliders, my brother ordered the jalapeño jam on the side and I totally recommend that because I didn’t and it was really really spicy, fortunately I love spice but If you have it on the side you can determine how much you use. My sister ordered the strawberry and cream waffles, they looked amazing! She loved it! And my husband ordered the hangar steak hash which was delicious!!! We ordered some drinks and they were also good but nothing jumped out at me that was too interesting to drink maybe I just wasn’t on the mood but I liked my drink. They didn’t have a lot of hot tea options so my sister drank chamomile but it would be nice to have an array of options in that sort of restaurant. My husband had coffee and it was ok. Loved their “be nice” mugs. All in all it was a great brunch, you should definitely give it a try I don’t think you’ll be...
