Hi. Long time eater, first time visitor. (BURGER WEEK REVIEW) Skip to the end for just the Tavern review.
The burger : 5oz burger, cheddar, bacon, peanutbutter and raspberry Chipotle jelly.
The good : Not just a gimmic! This burger is the real deal and should be staple on any burger menu. A very crushable burger at all hours of the day. Brunch burger? Absolutely. Mid day work burger? Light and easy, of course yes! Dinner? Add some sweet potato fries or a side of mac and cheese and dinner is served. 4th meal? You better believe I'm ordering this at last call! Before you ask, yes, you can taste the real peanutbutter, but it doesn't overwhelm the tastes. The Chipotle jelly gives the bacon a little smokey sweetness that I could spoon right onto my toast.
The bad : I wanted another one. Not saying they are small by any means. But the burger itself likely won't fill you up. So follow one of the commandments and order a small side. The bun (BUNS MATTER) is an ordinary bun so there's room to improve there.. (A Hawaiian bun would have put this over the 8 for the score.
Score = 7.95
Final thoughts - First time visiting Grandview Tavern and I'll certainly be back to sample the rest of their menu. Burger week was made to get you out of your comfort zone. Go try new places, and don't be afraid of the "exotic burgers."
The Tavern is a great space, great and spacious outdoor patio. Great bourbon selection! Great spot to host a business meeting, or a simple night out with the family!

I have been a long-time patron of Grandview Tavern and Grill, enjoying the atmosphere and food for many years. However, my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed and questioning their business practices.
Instead of clearly stating that they are charging customers a credit card fee, the restaurant has chosen a rather deceptive route: offering a $2 discount for paying with cash. While this might seem like a gesture of goodwill, the reality is that they are hiding the true cost of credit card transactions. Even more frustrating, the receipt appears to bundle the credit card fee into the tax portion of the bill, making it nearly impossible to discern the actual breakdown.
This lack of transparency feels misleading and unfair, especially to loyal customers who have supported this establishment over the years. While I understand the increasing costs of doing business, the approach of obscuring fees and penalizing customers for using credit cards is not the way to build trust or maintain a loyal clientele.
For a restaurant that has always been a local favorite, this shift in policy sends a negative message to its patrons. Many customers, myself included, will now think twice about returning. Clear communication and respect for customers go a long way, and unfortunately, this experience has soured what used to be a reliable and enjoyable...
Read moreI had the unfortunate pleasure of trying what has to be one of the most abhorrent pasta dishes I've ever encountered, and at a staggering $33 no less. From the moment it arrived at my table, the experience was a series of unpalatable surprises. To start, the aroma was disturbingly reminiscent of sewage. I tried to push through, hoping that the taste would somehow redeem the dish, but that was not the case. The pasta itself was an absolute disaster. It was rubbery to the point where it felt like chewing on a well-worn eraser. Every bite was a struggle, as if I was gnawing through a poorly manufactured toy. The sauce, if you could call it that, was a vile concoction that tasted like it had been marinating in the worst possible way. It was both bitter and rancid, a combination I didn't think was possible in a dish that should be comforting. Each forkful was more nauseating than the last, and I found myself unable to finish more than a few bites. At $33, I expected a meal that was at least palatable, if not enjoyable. Instead, I was served something that can only be described as an assault on the senses. This dish was a waste of money, time, and stomach space. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Avoid...
