I don’t believe In judging a place based on trying it only once. I like to try a place or item 3 times to give it the benefit of doubt. Here is my experience: The first time I came here, the service was excellent but the food was sent out cold. Sushi could’ve been better. However, their boba tea was good. The second time I came here, the sushi was very fishy and asked the waiter if they could bring it back and get me something else instead. She rolled her eyes and sent it back. When she brought it back, the chief, I’m assuming, was speaking with her along with another women. They were speaking in their language and kept staring at us. I told them I’ll just take the check and go, no worries on making me something else. They made it seem like I was trying to get a discount or something. I paid full price and even tipped her. The third time, I went with a relative who was craving for boba tea. I ordered boba tea and forgot to specify “smoothie”. Granted, that was my bad because I was preoccupied with my 4 month old son. After she rang me up, I apologized and asked if she could make that a smoothie. She rolled her eyes and clicked on the computer hard and annoyingly. She charged my card again and had me sign the receipt. I asked if she could give me the receipt that showed the first purchase was canceled. She said on her end she voided it and couldn’t print a receipt. I said no worries and asked if she could write void and sign her name because on my card it showed the transaction went through. She rolled her eyes and tapped on the register aggressively. Then she called over another women and started talking in her language. Mind you, she kept staring and rolling her eyes at me. When she was making the drink, she was slamming things hard. When she gave me her drink I said “ you really didn’t have to be rude.” She just gave me a dirty look and said “bye”. I hope my experience...
Read moreExcellent new Pan-Asian restaurant in the Forum. The decor is clean, modern, and chic.
My husband ordered the Tonkotsu ramen, I requested the teriyaki chicken bento box, and we split a red lady specialty roll. My husband specifically requested a trip to this restaurant so he could try the ramen, and he was not disapointed. I tried some of the broth, and it was really flavorful. The only thing I noticed that looked a bit off was the shoyu egg. Ramen we have tried in the past usually has a semi-soft yolk, and this one was fully cooked. This is a pretty minor issue, but I was a bit disapointed because I was looking forward to stealing the egg for myself.
I was very happy with the variety of flavors and the portions of food that came with my bento box, everything was delicious! I especially enjoyed the dressing on the salad, it was a lot creamier than your average ginger dressing. Yum!
The sushi roll was tasty. It wasn't the most epic we've had in town, but very solid flavors and textures.
Everything came out fast and at the ideal temperature. Service was on 100% on point, absolutely no complaints there....
Read moreMy husband and I gave this place a try tonight. We got seated right away and our order was taken. We tried the scallion pancakes which we both thought were really good. Also had the gyoza which was your standard gyoza. They did fry them though which I prefer over steamed. My husband got a Thai tea and I got a brown sugar milk tea with boba. Soooo good. We each got a second. My husband had a poke bowl which he said was good and I got the chicken yuki udon. I thought it was good and had good flavor. We both took home half our meal. Thought the portion sizes were good. We want to go back to try other dishes.
Edit: I just wanted to make sure I let everyone know that they seriously make THE BEST brown sugar milk tea. It is my go to drink when I get boba tea and they by far have the best. I was in the area the other day doing some shopping and couldn't resist stopping in again just to...
