My friend told me about Peter's and I stopped in the next time I was in Ft Myers. I was able to find short-term free parking on the street nearby. I got a small cup of ice cream to go and a slice of tiramasu to share with friends later. The German ice cream is more creamy and less icy than American ice cream. They have a variety of flavors to choose from but offer samples to help you decide. After trying the hazelnut, bourbon (NOT bourbon alcohol flavored) vanilla and Malaga (rum raisin) I decided to get amaretto and hazelnut. I would definitely get the hazelnut again but am interested in trying out some of their fruit flavors. The tiramasu cake was a hit with the liquid soared cake and fluffy frosted layers 10 out of 10 I would would get again. The staff was super friendly and informative. The space was clean and welcoming. There was dining inside, as well as out front and in a side courtyard.

I was so excited to try this spot for an early Sunday morning breakfast. The ingredients are fresh and homemade and reminded me of the family friendly nature of stores like Jugo Boss in Lighthouse Point. The small serving of ice cream was two small scoops , but just enough to be satisfying without increasing my waistline. I had a caramel blended coffee drink with whip cream and it phenomenal, although I enjoyed the whip cream even more than coffee. The breakfast sandwich was authentic and the croissant tasted freshly baked. All in all I rate this establishment a 5/5. I can’t wait to go again to try more of the gellatanous ice cream/gelato flavors. I would describe the ice cream as having the look of gelato, but the absolute perfection in blend of ice cream with extremely low ice content. It was very creamy extremely blended well and very good, made in house the way it’s supposed to be.

This small little location off Hendry does Coffee right, but wait, they also have food. I've reached a new level of attendance at this place, both owners are always in, the cook, i now ask what they made special. So I tried the chicken salad wrap. Not something I would normally order, but everything I've ever eaten there has been "Clean", meaning home cooked without the grease. I was not disappointed. The flavor was something I can't replicate at home and when I go out to eat, I don't want to think "I can cook it better" and they didn't let me down. As for the coffee, unlike starbucks whose $20,000 espresso machines continuously heat the beans (means they're still cooking/roasting) leaving a "burnt" flavor, they grind fresh on the spot. I like high caffiene, so for me, it's a large black bullet every time. Again, I can't make the same at home.

I went into this small coffee shop on yesterday and will not go back for nothing.in fact i let the River District Council know how rude and unprofessional i was treated on yesterday.i have just discharged from the hospital 4 days ago now.i wanted to go somewhere nice after being in the hospital which I'm in there a lot with my health.i have a heart defrillabator implant 5yrs and Crohn's disease 13yrs. Remutorid arthritis in my right hand.i went in their coffee shop and asked their cashier who stood there rolling her eyes her and another assistant with dark colored hair.i asked did they have like a quiche lunch combo or combination?the owners wife girlfriend whoever she was wearing glasses with a frown on her face too.whispered something into the cashier's ear about me.then they still asked me if i wanted to order.please i walked out went to a way better restaurant downtown and told that restaurant about Java House Coffee unprofessional and gossiping ways of business.maybe my skin color was the issue.the owners had accents so who can they judge.i used to work downtown for years at the old McCrorys store French Connection Restaurant Pizza Fort Myers.Java House Coffee was no where in business...

What a wonderful experience! The owners are so pleasant..true service with a smile! Every bakery item is made in house. My favorite is the chocolate cake with ginger snaps(rich and sweet). Also had the cheesecake (lightly sweet and not your typical NY style), Apple Cake( yummy) and the fruit "tart" (interesting combo of cake, fruit and jello). Had the German Coffee with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with homemade whipped cream...a delight for the eyes and taste buds! We returned later to try the food..a tasty avocado/egg sandwich and a simple cheese sandwich on German bread..very good! If ice cream is your passion, this is the place. Homemade with adventurous flavors..tried the Marzipan..yummy. Friend had a taste of the soft serve vanilla and strawberry and loved it. Btw, they make a doggy ice cream for our furry friends(vet approved). Stopping here made my visit to Ft.Myers extra special! It is a gem. Be sure to visit when you are downtown Ft.Myers...you will...

Today was my first experience trying Peters German Ice Cream, & Coffee. Check out their new location! We had the pleasure of meeting Marika, the owner, she was an absolute delight! We also met a lovely gentlemen I assume to be Peter, and another lovely young lady working. We tried the German Iced coffee which is coffee, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream & it was higher than my expectations could allow! We felt right at home, you can really feel the love they pour into their business, she was even kind enough to allow us to take a few photos in the cafe’ the ambiance is so beautiful, with indoor seating and also a private shaded outdoor seating area. We had the pleasure of also trying a few of their bakery items a beautifully baked strawberry muffin, and hand made energy balls with dark chocolate and coconut! Yum! 20/10 experience! If you’re a local or from out of town this is a must stop and enjoy experience. I can’t...
