I recently visited Wisteria Tea Room with three girlfriends for a delightful afternoon tea experience. Overall, the food was delicious, the soup was grand, and the ambiance was absolutely wonderful. We had a lovely time together. However, there was one aspect of our visit that left me with mixed feelings. Firstly, I want to mention that the prices at Wisteria Tea Room are on the higher side. However, this was not a surprise to me as I had been here before. The food itself was exceptional. The finger sandwiches, soup, tea, and pastries were all beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the culinary delights that were offered. We ordered a pastry tree, which was beautifully presented, in addition to our experience because one of the girls recently celebrated a birthday. The ambiance of Wisteria Tea Room is truly enchanting. The atmosphere was cute, serene and elegant, creating a perfect setting for an afternoon tea gathering. It added a touch of sophistication to our overall experience. However, I was disappointed with how our visit ended. The hostess informed us that we had to leave because they needed to free up the table for the next reservation. It was surprising and abrupt, considering we were simply having a conversation over lunch and tea. While I understand the importance of managing reservations, I believe that for the price we paid, we deserved a more accommodating experience. It left a sour taste in my mouth and disrupted what would have otherwise been a perfect outing. In terms of value, our bill came to $248 for four women, which translates to $62 per person. It is a significant amount, and with that price, I expected a more leisurely and relaxed atmosphere where we could enjoy our time without feeling rushed. To summarize, Wisteria Tea Room offers a delightful experience with its delicious food and wonderful ambiance. However, the abruptness with which we were asked to leave, despite the high price we paid, was disappointing. I hope the management takes note of this issue and works towards providing a more welcoming and unhurried experience for their patrons in the future.

We LOVE Wisteria! We try to go every Mother’s Day. My most recent trip was to take my daughter and niece for a special ladies tea. They were beyond excited to walk inside and see the beautiful tea sets on the tables. Each seat has a different cup and saucer. The food was delicious. I was a little surprised when I saw they charge $15 for a kid’s afternoon tea. They get a little peanut butter sandwich, two little cheese sandwiches, a scone, and a tiny cup of soup (not a small bowl “cup” but a literal tiny cup). It’s a decent amount of food, but not $15 worth in my opinion. I also think $25 is a little steep for the adult tea. You can’t share. It’s all individually charged, which I understand but I can’t drink a pot of tea all by myself. So I paid $25 for a pot of tea that I shared with my daughters (after paying for them to be able to share and then each having one small cup) and a tiered tray of tiny finger foods. The girls felt big having their tray and own tea cups so it was worth it to see their faces light up. I also understand you are paying for atmosphere. When we go for Mother’s Day we usually drink multiple pots of tea so we get our money’s worth but I realized it’s too pricey for me for just a casual lunch where I have a couple cups of tea and some finger foods. The staff was friendly and our waitress Lisa was fantastic. Obviously those are just my opinions on the pricing and others may disagree. I just want people to know what to expect for the $. We always have a great time when we go and will definitely be back for Mother’s Day.

On July 17, 2021. We had a very small, intimate wedding with just our family and then followed up with a private reception at the Wisteria Tea Room. The owner, Bobbie, was wonderful to work with. We went ahead and covered their minimum so we could have the place to ourselves. We did a full Royal Tea and a wedding cake that was made in house by their pastry chef (exactly as I requested). We loved everything! The food and service was wonderful!!! Even though we were a small group they treated us amazing!! They even boxed up the extra food we paid for so we could send it home with everyone. The wedding cake was the best wedding cake I’ve ever had!!! The inside was Neapolitan but the outside was a creamy white frosting to keep the look of a wedding cake. The frosting is amazing! I’m not a fondant fan and they were able to make the cake look exactly like I requested without any fondant!!! We were all full after eating the delicious food that came with our tea so they graciously packed individual slices of wedding cake for our guests and packed up the rest for us. The tea was also great! Of course we had the Royal Wedding Tea, which was wonderful but I think the snow tea was my favorite (snow tea has a hint of coconut flavor and I love that as did our guests—if you don’t like coconut you may want to pass on snow tea) Everyone at Wisteria Tea are so pleasant and wonderful to work with. We had such a wonderful experience I would recommend Wisteria Tea Room for any private event or even just to come in for a tea service or lunch on a regular day!

UPDATED REVIEW We will not be going back, we will never book again, and we have started to spread our disappointments among the community. We truly adored this place at our first (and only) booking. Unfortunately, we were not aware that the management behind the business does not take the customer into consideration as much as they do the money (read the other bad reviews, too!). My sister and I surprised our mothers/in-laws with the Mother's Day lunch. We heard through word of mouth they had this event so my sister simply called to inquire about it and booked an appointment. It was about $420. After giving our info, the amount of people, and credit card info, that was the end of the discussion. HOWEVER, being that we have NEVER booked for ANY event at Wisteria, they apparently do Mother's Day lunches the DAY BEFORE MOTHER'S DAY. The ONE important detail they left out upon her inquiry. So of course, between the six of us, we expected an actual Mother's Day lunch, right? We get a call late, the day before, asking if we are coming. No... we had already set our plans in stone for the next day. We explained how we were not confirmed over the phone as to the appointment date, nor did they send an e-mail with said confirmation. They simply told us "well it's all over the internet" regarding the date. Don't you think we would have liked to have the lunch? You think we felt like throwing money at your business for kicks? So at first, we didn't even ask for our money back. We simply requested to book on a different day, instead. Mind you--the Mother's Day lunch costs MORE than the regular lunch. We weren't even looking to get the difference back. Nope, they said we couldn't even re-book. From there, they ALSO said they wouldn't refund us the money, as per their 'no-refund policy.' We were totally shocked, my sister was absolutely devastated and we felt we let our mothers/in-laws down. We not only had nothing planned for them at this point, but we also were out the money for this event and could not do anything else with them because of it. We simply asked for a replacement lunch or our money back. Hell, even a partial refund. I HIGHLY suggest this company begins confirming appointment dates, whether upon booking, by e-mail or as a courtesy to the customer the day before. On top of it all, they wanted us to go pick up the food for the $420 instead of letting us simply reschedule for a regular meal on a regular day. It makes no sense. The food isn't all that is $420... it's a SERVICE. It's about the experience and lasting memories with the time we have left with our mothers. Thank you for taking that away from us......
