Lumpia is on point and delicious! Chicken on a stick was not as appealing. Called my order in ahead so it would be ready as I was in a hurry, walked to the side counter because there was a line of people ordering. The dude cooking directed me to the line of people ordering. I had to stand and wait. Once I got to the window lady asked what I ordered, I knew I ordered lumpia but took a minute to remember. When I placed my order she asked for my name, if the name is not attached to my food why does she need it? She was rude on the phone, didn't give me a time or total. After giving my initial order I tried to call back and change it within a minute I could not get back through. Finally when I did I told her I made a mistake on the order and changed it she said your food is already made. She told me that's because I'm not the only person ordering and I'm not the only customer. It wasn't the words that were rude it was her tone almost like you're just another person I have to serve. When I walked up to pay for my order she slammed the card reader on the counter didn't even give me a total took my card and put it in the machine whatever I went with it. Didn't say thank or you nothing. Reading all the reviews it's clear that she has some customer service issues and she has been rude a numerous occasions whoever is responding to some of these reviews is very rude and clearly could use some customer service...
Read moreOnce, I loved Nellie's.. She changed all of that not by her food because it is good but it comes with the price of rudeness, yelling and just all around disrespect. I CAN'T eat pork, I have ordered her beef lumpia before with no problem and all was well. The last two occasions were so bad that i will NEVER go again. She yelled at me before for ordering the BEEF Lumpia by asking for BEEF Lumpia, she said," YOU NEED TO SAY NO MEAT!!!! DON'T SAY BEEF!" All i could say was yes ma'am, even though my B.C. ways would have handled that in an uglier fashion. Today, I am pregnant and was painfully craving the Beef or No Meat Lumpia... I called the order in, she gave me pork and i called her to tell her.. she yelled said thank you and hung up in my face before I could explain the gravity of the situation. I called her back trying to be in the mind of Christ and be graceful and merciful because I know she is a busy lady. She didn't answer.. I called again, she answered and yelled that she don't have time for this and she is busy!!!! I had to go back up there and explain to her that pork makes me deathly ill (seriously).. she was still yelling and being ugly.. how did it get resolved? She gave me chicken.. a plate full of chicken. I find it completely disrespectful and a tremendous waste of my time and money, not because her chicken is bad, but because in my current state... Chicken makes...
Read morehm...i would put half a star if i could solely for the price. my first time here and was recommended by a colleague as one of his favorite go-to whenever in the area...a regrettable experience to say the least. i got the lunch special that came with fried rice, chicken on-stick, lumpias, and cream cheese rangoon. the fried rice was warm/room temp., bland, and worst of all, mushy as if i were eating congee (slight exaggeration, but very mushy). im not sure how lumpias are made but the ones i had that day were bland with a little pork stench aftertaste...not enough love into making it i guess. Not much to say about chicken on-stick, but definitely nothing special about it...and same with the rangoons. to sum it up, the only thing i finished were the rangoons. i hate to say it but i dont think i'll ever come back. its unfortunate, cause it seemed pretty popular among the military people...i guess its the free drinks they get from her, who knows... overall: price: 5 stars quality: 1/2...
