As the first at the table of four, I received some of the worst service ever. To start, we got our drinks at a relatively normal time, and it seemed like an ordinary experience. Then we waited 20 minutes for our server to get back to us. I was hoping to order a margarita on the 3 for me and instead got a presidente margarita which isn't on the discounted menu. Hope they got there money's worth over arguing with a customer over 4 dollars, I'll gladly never spend another dollar at chilis again! As for the second, at the table of four, I did indeed get my drink at a pretty decent time and as they were giving my drinks I had pretty much decided what I wanted to eat along with everybody else at the table. However, the lady serving us ran away for a long time. Probably 20 minutes comes back. We get refills on our drink yet she still hasn't asked what we want to eat. Soy cringe later she finally comes back 30 minutes. Probably we're like. Oh my goodness we haven't even ordered our food yet. Truly ridiculous. Finally after ordering we did get our food extremely fast. So really the cooks had done a good job but the server not so much. Finally, as soon as I received my food I said can I get some guac some guacamole they're like okay and then I never got it. I was like well I guess I'm never getting my guacamole. Finally after I'm done eating they bring me the guacamole and charge me $3 for it. Listen lady. I'm not going to eat the guacamole with a spoon. Why have you charged me for this when you did not even get it to me when I was still eating? Truly this was a scam also. PS. They threw away a whole chicken nugget for no reason.
As the third person of four in the table, I was disappointed. Receiving my drink quickly was the only positive part of my experience. I ordered a five piece chicken crisper with ranch. When they finally brought out food out, after nearly 50 minutes of waiting, one of my chicken crispers had fallen off my plate and onto the tray they used to carry the food out. However, instead of offering to grab me a new crisper, the server grabbed the fallen crisper and threw it away right in front of me! I had to wait five minutes to ask for my fifth crisper that I should have received with my initial meal. Then, after eating, we realized that our check was not split properly. When we asked our server to split it, she seemed upset and annoyed at this request. I do not appreciate the server giving us an attitude when we are asking her to simply perform a task that is part of her job.
Hello, you are speaking to guess number four of the table now and I have to say first things first who brings a kid to a Chili's. It is a bar. I'm drinking alcohol. Well I'm not drinking alcohol but person number one was and you should not bring your kid to a place where there is alcohol because they might drink it and that is bad for the developing minds. But besides that I ordered Coke zero. Well actually no, I ordered zero Coke but instead they brought me a lot of Cokes and when I asked for no Cokes zero Cokes they brought me too many Cokes. They live in like four or five and that was the only good part of the experience was that I asked for zero Cokes and they gave me Cokes for free with my three for me. But besides that the appetizer was okay but they gave us some weird Brown taco goop that was not good according to person number 2 and I have to say that for me I was having a lot of fun not because of the people around us. But because of the people I was sitting with person. One two and three are great friends except for person number one. Who is he convicted felon. The atmosphere of the place was okay. It was just like the Black ops 3 map Welcome to Chili's but the issue with the ambiance arised when around Midway through our meal it started smelling heavily of chlorine. And if someone who has seen the effects of chlorine gas on the human body I said why would they put this in a restaurant that stuff will kill you that is crazy and then there were kids again there and the kids were in swimsuits it's full of...
Read moreWorst Chiliâs in DFW due to the manager, Barbara. Our server accidentally put in the wrong queso when we ordered white spinach queso, as he was only 4 days out of training. Our server was also being forced to serve 7-8 tables at any given time of 4-9 people each. We never have a problem with a mistake, but tonight Barbara came to our table 3 times with the wrong queso. After the third time she put the white spinach queso toppings in the yellow queso and informed us that they only had one type of queso, the yellow queso. Then she proceeded to serve the table behind us white spinach queso with white queso, after she had just told us until she was blue in the face that we were wrong and they didnât have white queso. We go to Chilis in Watagua and Roanoke 2-3 times a week and know the menu very well. The most disappointing part is after she served the white spinach queso she came back to our table and again told us there was only one queso and then yelled at us to ânever come back to my chilisâ in front of all the customers and our 3 small children. We have NEVER encountered such horrible service from a âgeneral managerâ. We never complain or have had any issues with other Chiliâs in the past. We are big tippers and always give great ratings on the surveys. On a more positive note, our server, Philip, was absolutely fantastic and the food runner, Antwon, was amazing as well! Both extremely kind, knowledgeable and hard workers! They both knew and told/ showed us they had white queso⌠not yellow spinach queso. Someone from corporate needs to take a serious look at this âgeneral managerâ, Barbara, and investigate how she is treating customers and employees, along with how she is lying to customers and taking short cuts. She lost her temper in the middle of the restaurant when we were being calm. Barbara just didnât want to own her mistakes or give us the...
Read moreChili's has been through a lot of ups and downs over the years. Luckily, as of the past year, it seems that the restaurant is making sincere effort to improve the quality of its food and sell it at reasonable prices.
The first recent example is the 1/2 pound burger revision. The restaurant increased the size of its burgers, kept the quality the same and gave customers the choice of "pink" or "no pink" when ordering. Try the burger, you can substitute the fries for corn on the cob at no extra charge as of the time of this review.
The next most recent example are the fajitas. Chili's now puts enough meat in the fajitas that my wife and I can share a two meat chicken and steak fajita and not need more food. Especially if we use one of the fairly common "free desert" e-mails that comes as a result of Chili's rewards program. All said and done, we can finish a nice meal for about $20.
The restaurant has made these strides while keeping its traditionally good items, namely the "Original Chicken Crispers," intact.
That being said, every Chili's I have ever been to (including the one listed for this review) has a major drawback that keeps the fifth star away from my rating. The cups and flatware are often dirty and it is not uncommon for me to ask for different flatware or even a disposable "to-go" cup for my drink in order for me to be happy. Why is this an issue today, with all of the awesome cleaning technology restaurants have available?
All told though, Chili's is a worthy American restaurant for a reasonably priced and quality (especially recently) meal that seems to be consistent across its locations. The Alliance Town Center location appears pretty much the same as all of the others. If you have been to one, don't expect...
