Came in to have dinner with my mom and my son. We did have to wait for about 30 minutes for a table, but that’s to be expected for any restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and attentive once we were sat. My mom said she wanted to try something new and ordered the chicken and waffles. It did take about 45 minutes for our food to start coming out, but again, it was obvious there were not a lot of staff and they were doing the best they could. My mom was getting very irritated and complained to the waitress about the time. The manager was so sweet to come over and apologize for the wait and ask if there was anything she could do to help the situation. My mom said she just wanted her food. My food and my son’s food came out first and the waitress told my mom she would be right back with her chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, my mom didn’t wait not one minute before leaving her seat and going towards the kitchen and causing a scene with the manager, raising her voice and saying the wait was ridiculous. It was so embarrassing and I felt so bad for the staff. I tried to explain to my very irrational mother that they were doing the best they could. Her chicken and waffles then arrived, brought out by the manager and waitress. My mom took one bite, ONE BITE, and said it was too spicy and she didn’t want it. Total Karen moment. I told her “well yeah they are honey chipotle crispers with jalapeños on top”. I didn’t know that’s how they came or I would have told her not to order them, knowing my mom can’t handle spice. The manager asked if she wanted anything different and my mom said no in the most childish way. I was horrified. Our bill came out shortly after and our meal was comped. I told my mom that we still needed to leave a good tip because the waitress was so nice and patient. She said she wanted to leave $5 and I told her NO at least $10. (My son and I went because my mom said it was on her, I’m broke at the moment or I would have tipped more). I feel like my mom’s behavior did not warrant the bill being comped, but the staff was trying to right what my mom seemed to think was a bad experience. I wish I could have gone off on my mom, but I didn’t want to escalate the situation in front of my 9-year-old son. This experience was just unfortunate. Kudos to the team at chilis for staying calm and patient and having excellent customer service. They are not paid enough to deal with people like my mom. I called when we left and apologized. I plan on going in on pay day to personally tip the waitress and manager that had to deal with my mother this evening. Thank you Hulen Chilis...
Read moreThis was the worse Chili’s experience I ever had. I went on Wednesday June 15th. I arrived around 10:18pm. I was sat quickly, my server made it to my table within 5 minutes. Took my order, I ordered a blue moon beer and chips and salsa as an appetizer. My server said she would bring my chips right out, 7 minutes later she brings out my beer, I ask her when my chips will be out? She said she would bring them right out! 10 minutes later still nothing and whenever I see her she’s talking to her other tables and cleaning. The bartender approached me and asked if I wanted a last call drink? I told him no but I wanted my chips and salsa though and it has been over 15 minutes. He was nice and said he would get them right out. He brought them to me a few minutes later. I had them for one minute when my food came out. I asked for a manager and explained the situation and she took the chips off my tab. 10 minutes later I’m almost done and I realized the meat wasn’t completely cooked, I was concerned but didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes for more undercooked food. They were closing at 11pm. And it’s almost that time. Good news I didn’t get sick! When the server came out with my bill, she didn’t apologize for forgetting my appetizer twice. I paid in cash and though I was unhappy I stayed calm. When the server comes back I’m finishing my appetizer and since I had served I was going to tip her anyway. My change was like 8$ and some change. The server grabs it and says she will bring out change. I said okay and took a big bite of chips. She then stops turns around and says. “ do you even want change?” I calmly said with a mouth full of chips “ yes ma’am I do! I was doing everything I could to stay calm. I thought “ is she serious?” She came back and apologized for not paying attention to what I gave her. I didn’t reply and she quickly walked away. Though I tipped her, I’m never going back to this one again!!! They need to train their servers to never ask if someone wants their change. They need to just bring it and if the customer leaves it...
Read moreThe host was nice I guess. Makayla was our server. She took my husbands and my order and brought our drinks. That was the last time we saw here, until the end of the visit. My drink was the raspberry unsweet tea. She brought me a sweet tea. I couldn't complain because she didn't come back to our table. I saw her checking up on her other tables and bringing them their food and drinks. Other servers brought over food. My food was wrong, but I notified the server right when she set it down. She told me sorry and took the plate. My husbands food was correct. When I got my food, it was right but it wasn't what I'm used to. It just seemed like they put the sauce on the original tenders and sent it my way. I'm honestly not a picky person. I always order either the tenders or the Cajun pasta. I know how it's supposed to look and taste. This did not taste or look good. We were done with our drinks before our meals got to the table. Of course, we didn't get refills because our server didn't check up on us. I was honestly annoyed because ,like I said before , I saw Makayla checking up on her other tables but us. She finally came to our table about 10 minutes after we were both done eating. Sitting there waiting honestly seemed like we were waiting for 30 minutes. I asked her for a togo box and drink. She honestly took 5 minutes to bring the togo box and drink. I know it's ridiculous to time it, but I was frustrated and curious how long she would take. At the other 2 chili's(White Settlement & Lake Worth are the best), they would come back in like a minute or 2. I gave her my card and showed her my rewards thing for a free appetizer. It luckily took like 2 minutes for her to come back. I didn't want to give her a tip, but I did. I was ready to leave. I would like to say that it wasn't busy at all. If it was busy, I would...
