I called to get an idea of what they pay for different kinds of dvds, and the kid who answered agreed to give me a price quote over the phone for two dvds I have. After agreeing to hold while he processed four different customers (heard it in the background), I hung up and called again. This time the Assistant Manager answered, and he told me that he won't give price quotes over the phone. I asked why, and he replied, "Prices change every day. If I give you a price quote today, it could be different tomorrow." Now, if I had been concerned with the daily price fluctuation, I'd have called on the day I planned to come in, which is exactly what I was doing. Not to mention that the price of some older dvds in the store don't change all year. I told him that since he had said so, that his legal bases were all covered. "Now," I said, "Why else can't I get a price quote?" At this point I knew he was just being lazy. He predictably gave me the old canned line about store policy. I asked for the manager, and he said(I quote), "I'm the Assistant Manager. How may I help you?" I asked for his manager, and he told me that he was at home and I could call him. I asked why he couldn't call him (to ask permission), but of course his lazy ass won't do more than barely over minimum wage motivates one to do. Diddly squat. They have an ever changing selection of DVD/BluRay/Games and other merch. I have found some absolute gems while browsing the shelves over the yrs. Some hard to find Anime and old movies at really great pricing. All of the staff recognize me and my girls and will point out new acquisitions to us in our favorite genres. I browse pretty regularly then make lots of purchases at once, but if I find something that is difficult to find or last on the shelf they've been willing to hold it a few days til my paycheck hits so I can make the purchase. Additionally they are able to order from their other stores if they don't have an item in inventory but it's something one of their other stores have (found a beloved old movie from my childhood that way that I couldn't find anywhere else (like ebay/amazon/etc.. and they had it shipped right to me)). My kids also enjoy the music and posters. I found super cute Godzilla bag attachments and snagged 2 full sets for me and my oldest daughter plus a couple extras by buying a ton of them -- totally worth it. I wear one of the extras at work and people have noticed my "stow away" MTC has a ton of great stuff and I've been steadily increasing my BluRay collection from them for years now. Routinely (Every visit) have been asked more than 2 times if I need help finding anything, the Employees are some of the the Fastest most helpful, knowledgeable people EVER! There has not been a movie I'VE asked about that they could not find. All of the employees know almost every SINGLE shelf in this store. If you can't find it, they will find it for you! They remember you BY NAME if you come in frequently.(I Have sold lots of Dvd's, blue-rays and games here and they pay Good money for the stuff they buy! Dvd's, they buy ANY KIND of Games (Computer Games, PlayStation(PS-PS1-PS2-PS3-PS4-PS5 / All Xbox Game Versions / Nintendo- [Nes-Snes-N64-NGameCube-GameBoy-(All GameboyVersions-NintendoSwitch / Atari / Sega Genesis. There are others I am forgetting! They bought ALL My iPods, (they have to be in decent condition with a good (decent) battery holding a charge. And ALL kinds of other stuff! Go check them out!
