We went there as a group of about 10 people and ordered a variety of dishes such as rolls, sushi, and ramen, which we shared. The staff at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped in. They greeted us with warm smiles and promptly seated us, ensuring we had a comfortable dining experience. Once we placed our orders, the food arrived quickly, impressing us with its freshness and presentation. The sushi rolls were a true highlight. The seafood in the rolls was incredibly fresh, offering a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, showcasing the skillful craftsmanship of the sushi chefs at Wasabi. The ramen at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant was equally exceptional. The broth had a rich flavor, simmering with depth that left our taste buds satisfied. The noodles were cooked to perfection, offering just the right amount of bite. The toppings added a wonderful complement to the dish, enhancing its overall taste and presentation. What truly amazed us was the fact that such a great Japanese restaurant exists in Fort Worth. Wasabi Japanese Restaurant truly stands out among the dining options in the area, providing a genuine taste of Japan in its culinary offerings. The attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in every dish served. In addition to the outstanding food, the service at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant was impeccable. Read moreFollow up from 3 yrs ago. It is comforting to see things of quality that remain unchanged. Wasabi remains as always the best example of what you should expect from a neighborhood sushi bar. Prices are still amazing for what you get. 14 bucks for 6 assorted nigiri, a standard roll and miso soup. $2.50 for green tea. If anything the slices on the nigiri have improved in quality and thickness. The spicy tuna is still not spicy, but it had a rich nutty taste due to sesame oil being used in the tuna mix and the use of sesame seed instead of toragashi on the exterior Do yourself a favor and try not adding wasabi and soy sauce. Chef nailed this. It needs no "improvement ".
He only negatives are pretty much minor. The miso soup is still instant with too much water. Extremely bland. The tea I won't order again. Either tea bag or instant. In any case it was lacking in the slightly nutty flavor of better green tea. To be fair to the restaurant, I am very picky on both because I spent more than a decade eating hand made miso soup and drinking strong green tea.
All in all it was really good. Ridiculous quality...
Read moreThis had to be the worst sushi place I'd ever been to. Normally I'd eat all given to me, but I'd had lots left over, that in itself says a lot. We ordered a lot of regular sushi, some handrolls, and specialty rolls. The regular sushi and specialty rolls were so difficult to pick up as they were ginormous, and some of the regular sushi had a huge amount of wasabi under. We ordered spicy scallop handrolls, which instead of the scallops themselves being spiced up, they added sriracha sauce, leaving the scallops in the roll to be bland, void of any flavor. Even the rice they're using is not actual sushi rice; being regular cooked rice. With the service, my family would have to constantly ask for what they ordered, or for an item to be fixed. The service wasn't anything special. Other than that all, I do not see Wasabi Sushi as a proper sushi restaurant or bar. Save your time and just go to Sushi Tao down the road, their sushi quality is far better, the service is amazing, a place you'd like to return to. I do not see that with Wasabi Sushi and will not...
