Interesting concept of a hidden cocktail lounge cleverly hidden in a busy strip mall surrounded by restaurants and specialty shops behind a faux laundromat âstorefrontâ in Fort Worthâs West 7th Street district. To enter, look for the handle on the âout of orderâ machine sign and pull forward to reveal a glow in the dark, dirty laundry themed bar with interesting house specialty drinks and great service!
We stopped by for a nightcap after dinner on a weekday and the place was almost empty. My husband ordered the Fluff nâ Fold - a Maple Texas blended Old Fashioned poured over a cloud of Cotton Candy. My husband said it wasnât too sweet or too maple-y and he enjoyed watching it being made. We sat in the main room, although there are smaller partially sectioned off booths to the side.
We recommend taking an Uber or leaving with enough time to allow for finding a parking place as parking it extremely limited on weekdays and weekends.
Pros: Really cool concept and the perfect way to end a night out with a nightcap. Very friendly service and good recommendations. Awesome facade that looks and sounds like a laundry mat!
Cons: We really wish they served pub food, but all we saw was some bags of chips. Itâs such an awesome concept, but itâs nice to have small plates, olives or nuts with a cocktail. Parking is...
Read moreBEWARE OF DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CARD CHARGES HERE!!!!!! My husband and I were so excited to try this lounge due to the hype of our friends and Instagram. When we walked in we noticed that there was only one actual bartender (Skinny Blond Caucasian girl), and three bar backs. Seemed a little odd, since this was (Sunday Night) Labor Day weekend. The bartender was overwhelmed and she didnât move with any sense of urgency, causing the line to grow behind us. We got our drinks, sat down and decided to leave after that due to the length of the line, we didnât want to wait for another round. We closed out our tab out with her, and left. Yesterday (Monday) we noticed that they DOUBLE charged us for our drinks. And while that was annoying, the more furious part is that they charged us an ADDITIONAL 35 dollars under their old establishment name, 1942. So with the drinks we actually ordered, plus their add ins, weâre down 75 dollars thanks to Dirty Laundry. Weâre on our way to bank now to dispute the extra charges and will NOT be going back to this place. Weâll also be making sure that the WORD GETS OUT about the scam theyâre trying...
Read moreThis place was very unique and Is a great place to visit if youâre in the area. Someone told us about this place while we were visiting Fort Worth and Iâm glad we had a chance to experience it. When you walk in, it looks like a laundromat with fake washers and dryers with screens that give the illusion that clothes are spinning in there. When you go in, itâs a nice little speakeasy that has âdirty laundryâ all over the light fixtures and walls. Itâs very cool to see. They have the âLaundry Listââof their speciality drinks. I wasnât a fan of the drinks but the place is still super cool and they offer a full bar and can make whatever you want (they even have Tajin!). The owner was there and was really nice, he told us that there is another speakeasy that he owns down the street called âBodegaâ where you actually have to find the code to get in. We didnât have time to visit Bodega but I told one of my friends about it who was also visiting Fort Worth and she visited and said it was a BLAST! Nonetheless, make sure you visit this place and Bodega if...
