What a delightful and unique culinary experience at Heirloom, nestled within the serene oasis of Archie's Gardenland! This hidden gem combines the best of both worlds: exceptional food and a lush plant nursery.
The moment I stepped into Heirloom, the aroma of fresh ingredients filled the air, and my taste buds were in for a treat. The combination of heirloom tomatoes, creamy burrata mozzarella cheese, perfectly cooked eggs with chorizo and black beans, and the crunch of homemade potato chips created a harmonious symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Each bite felt like a celebration of culinary artistry and nature's bounty.
The attention to detail and commitment to using top-quality ingredients was evident in every dish. The heirloom tomatoes burst with authentic, garden-fresh flavors that transported me back to my grandmother's backyard garden. The velvety burrata cheese was a dreamy complement to the vibrant tomatoes, while the eggs with chorizo and black beans added a hearty and savory twist.
And let's not forget about those homemade potato chips – crispy, golden, and seasoned to perfection. They were an irresistible side that added an extra layer of satisfaction to the meal. As a refreshing finish, the fresh sliced watermelon provided a juicy, sweet contrast that cleansed the palate.
What truly touched my heart was the extra mile that Josh, the owner, went to ensure my dining experience was exceptional. Aware of my food sensitivities and allergies, he personally crafted a special plate that catered to my needs without compromising on flavor or presentation. This thoughtful gesture not only showcased his dedication but also made me feel valued as a guest.
The ambiance of dining amidst the greenery of Archie's Gardenland was the perfect backdrop for this culinary journey. With every bite, I felt a deep connection to nature and a sense of tranquility that only a garden setting can provide.
The staff at Heirloom were not only passionate about the food they served but also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more memorable.
As an added bonus, Josh presented me with a lovely jar of homemade pickles to take home! Thanks, Josh!

Read moreI saw this place on Instagram and I’m glad I did because I never would have stumbled on it myself. It’s an adorable food truck tucked in a garden center. The menu changes every week and is light but hearty and everything is super fresh and seasonal. We ordered one of everything and hung out with the chef for a bit. We added some of the house-made hot salsa to the chorizo and egg tostada and blackened chicken torta, which kicked it up a notch. The “heirloom and motz” featured tomatoes and watermelon with pesto that was perfectly matched with sourdough toast. We finished with sopapilla and a scoop of ice cream. The perfect chewy, sweet and creamy way to end the meal on a hot day. All the seating it outside and there are fans and pendant lights over the patio, nestled in the trees and plants. It was well worth the 40 minute drive from Dallas. We would order any of the dishes again and can’t wait to try...

He has so much knowledge, experience and expertise in his food craft. I highly recommend you take the time to stop by and experience this for yourself. You won’t be...
