Lil' Red's Longhorn Saloon — Restaurant in Fort Worth

This is a great bar with an awesome Texas atmosphere but the one star is for the lady at the entrance. She is running a sham. We accidentally walked in because of the awesome bar stools they have while crossing the street. We had probably spent 30 seconds in the bar and the lady at the entrance asked another customer to reach out to us and make our way to the entrance. Without asking or giving us the option if we wanted to stay or not she made us pay for the $5 cover charge stating that if you just walk into the door after 7 pm you have to pay, even without us ordering or staying a minute at the place. Seriously, is this how you want to run a business and charge people? Have the courtesy and at least offer them a chance if they want to stay or not. We ordered margaritas and it was basically just lemonade. I'd say terrific ambience, terrible service and people working...

I should've read the reviews more closely. I had a friend from Cuba visiting and they refused to accept his out of country identification. The lady behind the bar looked at him with the most contemptuous look I've ever seen on someone's face saying "he shouldn't even be in here". Needless to say we found another place who gladly served us and I'll make sure to warn people about this place if they have out of country guests.

Edit: for the record I'm not employed by a competitor but I did end up going to one after this poor experience. My extensive reviews speak for themselves. Maybe your guest has to be a shade of white to be treated...

Thought we would try a new place in the Stockyards Fort Worth - 4 of us had beverages - 2 each (one of us had soda water). We sat at a table but went to bar for our drinks. Bartender wasn’t very friendly! We started a tab for credit card payment - closed out after 8 total beverages (again 2 of those were soda water). We were charged a 3% service charge for credit card usage PLUS an 18% gratuity of $8.90. Because the bartender made our drinks she deserved 18% added automatically? Not a good practice and how many people see that the gratuity is already added and then add a tip to that????? Not very...
