If I had the ability to give them a -star I would. My husband is a veteran and has a service Dog....we walked in to meet some friends from the Fort Worth Area. Before even sitting down the bartender was wave her hand at us. I walked over and she said that we could not have the dog in here...I said he is a service dog...she said it doesn't matter my manager said no animals/dogs and there are other bars that we could go to. I responded that is illegal and I can produce all documents. She again said it doesn't matter and we had to leave, she also stated that the bar is older and that they could not afford the liability. I said, what? that doesn't make any sense....what does the age of the building have to do with anything. Honestly, me getting a lawyer, could cause a bigger issue for them. Instead of causing a scene, we left and waited for our friend outside. Please know that my husband served this country for 22 years and having this service dog helps his PTSD. I myself have never been so angry...I felt, I should have video tap this young lady and what she was telling me along with getting her manager/owner on the phone and explain how illegal it is to tell us to leave. Instead I decided to tell everyone how they treat veterans with a service dog. Please note we did go somewhere else, the White Elephant and had a fabulous time...so if you are in that area don't go the the Basement Bar they dont need veterans $$..go to the White Elephant they treat our service members...

I went with friends on a whim while we were walking to another bar in the stockyards for an out of towner’s birthday. Better music elsewhere, cheaper covers elsewhere, better AND cheaper drinks elsewhere. Saw a girl do a line in the bathroom off a dirty toilet tank lid. Clean your bathrooms at least. Took the time to give my review after seeing their many posts about how COVID-19 is made up and that they’re going to be open regardless of what doctors say about slowing the spread so as not to overwhelm hospitals. I have a lot of family on the front line in healthcare putting their lives at risk DAILY to keep people alive. I wasn’t planning on going back, but their recent behavior gave me the impetus I needed to write an...

Very cute. But incredibly hot. They have a fan in the corner but I was sweating the entire time. Dance floor is also pretty small. It was just extremely crowded as well. Maybe they need to limit the capacity or something.

Update: Maybe learn to take some constructive criticism about your bar and not respond to every negative review in a poor manner. It makes you look bad. I just stood in your bar, never moved except to walk inside, get a drink, and then had to stay in one place, couldn't move because of how packed it was. So, I wouldn't blame kinetic energy. There was absolutely no hint of cool air anywhere in that bar as far as I could tell. World's smallest honkey tonk with the world's rudest...

Such a cool little place! Great bartending in a honky tonk atmosphere! It's billed as the smallest, but I couldn't be the judge, it is pretty small. It has a bar area and a stage area. That's it. Oh, and I hope you don't need to go #2 there - saloon doors open from the bar to the prison toilet in the men's room. Kind of funny but when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. Great cold beers regardless! Must go when in the Stockyards.

Besides being a bit of a death trap this is a pretty fun dive bar. Dollar bills cost the ceiling and people are friendly. The door man was friendly and funny. The bartender said "thats not my problem" when I explained someone took my drink, so that wasn't nice but short of that fun place to go dance and hang out.

A sneaky speak easy in a sweet hideaway through a book case. I mean what's not to like about that. Reminiscent to the times of prohibition, it will make you want to bring a lady wearing a flapper dress. Just make sure you know the secret password for the evening. Apparently it changes daily.
