Make no mistake about it. This is a bar that serves bar food, It's not mid range seafood. We decided to stop in and grab dinner. The servers were nice but the service was just ok. The bar got crowded really fast and I couldn't tell if it was inexperienced servers or a staffing shortage. I don't want to bash this place but I can't give it praise either. If you want to stop in for drinks and grab some bar food, this is your place. If you want good seafood, there are other places close by. I had the pick 3 (fried catfish, fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp. The fish wasn't seasoned or barely seasoned. The shrimp were a bit spicy and the popcorn shrimp looked like cheese curds with no flavor. My wife had the ocean wraps and clam strips (just batter and barely any clam meat). We also had the fried pickles to start with which left us with the impression that everything else would be just as good. Again, this place is a bit for some but for me, not so much. That being said, Please try this place out for yourself. This is just my perspective.

A so so place with so so food, definitely nothing to get excited about! Lots of TV's, Bud Lgt seemed to be really flowing here, every sports game imaginable from one end of the empty bar to the other. Make no mistake this is a local bar adjacent to a La Quinta, not much to it, eat first, hopefully the beer is much better than the food! I had the cod and crab cakes, the cod was nearly inedible. It had a hard, nearly impassable crust on the back and bottom that was perplexing. The crab cakes were so so, nothing to write about.

Basically overpriced bar food. We ordered catfish, fried shrimp, popcorn shrimp, clam strips, ocean wraps and fried pickles. Food came out cold. Service could have been better. I'm going to give grace there since they seemed short staffed. Popcorn shrimp and catfish had no flavor. The only things worthwhile were the fried pickles and ocean wraps. If you're looking for a happy hour hang out spot, this place would do. If you're looking for tasty, flavorful seafood...then it's a hard pass, would not recommend this place.

I had probably one of the worse experiences that I have ever encountered at a restaurant this past Saturday. I just moved to the area and my son who's 3 wanted some fish. I googled and found this restaurant and decided to give it a try. When we opened the front door all of the wait staff was in the back of the restaurant by the bar standing with their arms crossed. There was no sense of urgency and none of the staff walked towards me, I had to walk all the way back to the bar to be greeted, but the greeting wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. I'm not sure if this was a race thing but I was the only African American customer and there were no African American staff members so it could have been or the coldness could have been because I brought a child into the restaurant. They had high chairs and booster seats so one would assume this was a kid friendly establishment. My son wanted to sit outside so I asked the waitress if that was okay. She then points to the patio and says "just go out there, I'll be there in a min." Once the waitress arrived I ask her if there was a kids menu. My son likes to have his own menu so that he can feel like an older person. The waitress then says in her exact words... "No we don't have a kids menu, we don't have juice, we don't have milk, we don't have none of that". All while smirking and laughing while the other waitress did nothing. I honestly could not believe the way me and my son was being treated. I thought about staying but then I thought about what I would teach my son and that's to never do business where we are not welcomed. We left and went to Razoos and of course did not have any issues. This experience really did something to me because in my line of work, I cringe at the thought of consumers being treated this way. Of course, I will never patronize this...

Lone Star Oyster Bar is a small Sports Bar. I've been there several times and we always have very friendly servers. I love oysters on the half shell and theirs are very fresh. They shuck them after you order them. On this visit, I wasn't in the mood for oysters. I ordered three shrimp tacos on flour tortillas. They could have used another shrimp or two per taco, but I think it would have made it more difficult to eat. The shrimp were done well and had good flavor. They were topped with pico and a shredded green. I'm not sure if it was a leaf lettuce or kale, but it was a good addition to the taco. They were served with sour cream and what tasted like Thousand Island dressing. I did not use the sour cream, but the other sauce was perfect for these tacos. They had such wonderful flavor. I'll definitely order them again. I wish they had an order of two tacos. 3 was almost too many. I also had one of their Bloody Marys. Nice. Good flavor. Just the right amount of spice. My friend has had their gumbo and really enjoyed it. This time he had grilled catfish with dirty rice and vegetables. He Enjoyed it very much. The only thing we've had there that was a little disappointing was the shrimp and grits. I thought they were a little on the Bland side. However, I highly recommend this place. I'm sure you will find something on their menu that you will just fall...

Saturday evening 8:00, 4/27/19, Table 25, Check 74 Couple things to look at here. 1st trim visiter. Drove 30 minutes to try this place. Sitting at a table by the front door, and watching everyone come in and look confused about seating themselves or waiting for some direction. Need to have a clearly marked sign up letting ones know to seat themselves. Next, after sitting and waiting for a waitress, went up to the bar that had several seats open and asked to get a drink and was told that I really need to order my drink thru the waitress since I was at a table. (She took the drink order after all) I ordered crawfish with 1 order of corn and 1 order of potatoes, but never received the potatoes after asking 2 different waitresses that came to the table asking how we were doing, still never got them. Also orderer a chips and queso appetizer....it came out after the crawfish and taco plate were brought to the table. As I sit here waiting for someone to come take my money....8:15 now...and waitress hasn't come back to cash us out.....getting little frustrated now. Oh did I mention that I was charged for the potatoes and still never got them.....can't thing to imagine how much longer we'd be waiting here if I asked for the ticket to...
