I recently visited here with a colleague while I was in town and had an amazing dining experience that left us both thoroughly impressed!
From the moment we walked in, we could sense the staff’s passion for service and quality. We both ordered the lamb biryani, samosas, and I got a cup of warm masala chai, and every dish was a delight!!! The biryani was bursting with flavor—tender pieces of lamb cooked to perfection and perfectly spiced rice that was aromatic and satisfying. For my colleague, it was his first time trying Indian food, and he was blown away at the depth of the flavor. The portion size was generous, making it great value for money.
The samosas were crispy on the outside and filled with a delicious, well-seasoned mix of potatoes and peas. They were served hot and fresh, just the way they should be.
The warm masala chai was the perfect way to end the meal. It had a comforting blend of spices (though I did have to add sugar (provided), making it a soothing complement to the rich flavors of the food.
What truly stood out was the staff’s genuine enthusiasm and commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. They were attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about the food they served.
Overall, Mantra Indian & Nepali cuisine offers great food, excellent service, and generous portions at an affordable price. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying Indian meal with a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu next company trip!! Excuse the picture, I had already taken...
Read moreI was very impressed by the service. I had called before hand because I had some meal requests. I had called couple other places because I had some restrictions on my meal , I couldn’t have salt , garlic, onions etc . After couple of places letting me know they wouldn’t be able to accommodate that for me. I called mantra Indian and Nepali cuisine. The girl who picked up the phone was very sweet, I understand that these sort of substitutions are difficult but she got me someone who could help me with this instead of just saying no. Me and my Man decided to head there and the atmosphere looked nice and quiet. So we decided to dine in. When the food came OMG I didn’t feel left out . Even though I was told because there is no salt in the food there might be lack of taste which I understand but when I took couple bites of my food it did taste good regardless of the substitutes. The girl who was waiting on us made sure she bring some salads for us to Munch on . Come back and forth to see what else was needed. Everyone there including the owner made sure they checked with me before getting anything . Also took the effort to make my rice separately. There is so much more , the feeling of being welcomed , the efforts and overall everyone’s team work. I love it. When I come back from my trip to Nepal I’m definitely stopping there without all these modifications needed. Thank you so much for making everything I requested happen and without...
Read moreIt’s the best Nepali restaurant in dfw that I have tried so far. Staff is very kind and service is good. I ate few things: Veg thali: Dal was simple and lightly spiced as it should be. Very home like. Matar paneer was a little on sweeter side than Indian version and tasted awesome. Naan was fluffy annd a bit on flaky in the middle, little similar to tandoori roti but with maida. It was not stretchy or rubbery. 10/10 for naan. Dessert was yogurt with gulabjamun. A bit similarly, in Delhi we eat rabri with gulabjamun to cut sweetness and add different texture. Yogurt also works well for the same effect but a little less rich. Overall thali was a complete experience Mutton taas: 10/10 very nicely cooked mutton and spiced. It’s not gamey at all. You eat it with puffed rice. Combination is really good. Good option with beer 🍺. Naan would taste great with it as well. Chicken momos: 10/10 very juicy inside with mildly spiced grounded chicken and herbs. It goes really well with Jhol. Definitely tastes good and would love to see how they would taste with sweet mayo and spicy salsa combo of Chandigarh sec 34 kind of chutneys. I gave 10/10 for everything as owner perked up when I told her that I loved the food. But honestly food was that good. She had been to India and told her perspective on how she found Indian food similar yet different from her cuisine. I would totally...
