Taqueria Cuauhtemoc — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Very sad about my most recent experience there. I usually go after work later at night and always experienced the best service, got my order within 5 to 10 minutes, and food is always fantastic. But yesterday, I went during the afternoon and ordered my usual birria taco order (I was one of only two people there and had ordered first). After about 20 minutes and noticing people ordering after me getting bigger orders before me, I went to ask about my food. While waiting in line to ask, I overheard a woman who had ordered after me and already gotten their food discussing an issue about their order that was ALSO birria tacos, so I was annoyed. When I was next, I started to ask about the order and was interrupted by the girl and told to just wait until the buzzer went off. Then after waiting another 5-10 minutes, it finally went off. When I was handed my order, the girl basically threw it at me. I’ve been coming to this place for seven years already but lately the service hasn’t been that good. I ordered some chiles rellenos and when I got home, I put the cream on top of my chiles but not until I started eating my food. I noticed that crema was expired. I did call them back to let them know what was going on that way they could be aware of the issue but I didn’t even get a sorry or anything like that. I just cleaned my chiles rellenos and I ate them like that Cause I had already paid for it. Now this second time that I ordered the chiles rellenos. I did not put the cream on my chiles cause I wanted to check if the cream was expired. And yes, the cream was expired again, as soon as I opened it, it looked weird, and it tasted really sour. Hopefully they see this review and check...

I think they have the best tacos in Fort Worth. I have only had the pastor and asada tacos but they are so good I dont care to try anything else. Order them with grilled jalapeños! Also, the green/verde salsa that comes with them is some of the best I have ever had. The only other thing I have tried here is their Elote Corn and it is not good.... It is a cup of mayonnaise with a little bit of corn. I love mayonnaise but I dont enjoy eating it spoonfuls at a time. Also, I think $2/taco is really a fair price. The tacos are stuffed with meat and toppings so I dont agree with some of the reviews saying they are overpriced. And they can get busy but that is during lunch time and that is the same with any good place. I have not had to wait any longer than 10 minutes the 10+ times I have gone...
